PHOTOS: Mary Poppins is Greeting Guests From a Distance at a New Spot in Disney World!

We love Mary Poppins — after all, she is practically perfect in every way!

Mary Poppins

Since the parks reopened, we’ve spotted Mary Poppins greeting guests from a distance in the Magic Kingdom cavalcades and at the gazebo in the back of EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion. But today, Mary made her way to a new distanced meet-and-greet location!

Earlier this week we saw Alice wandering the gardens of the United Kingdom Pavilion. Just like Mary, Alice had previously been seen at the gazebo, but this was the first time we met her in the garden!

Alice

She was watering the flowers, posing for photos, and taking distanced selfies with the guests in her usual adorable fashion!

Alice!

And just like Alice, it appears that Mary Poppins has also decided to spend some time enjoying the flowers — we saw Mary meeting and greeting guests from a distance in the United Kingdom gardens today as well!

Mary Poppins

It really IS a jolly holiday with Mary!

Mary Poppins

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for any other characters as we make our way through EPCOT today in search of Halloween treats, so stay tuned!

REVIEW: It’s Showtime – New “Beetlejuice” Haunted House at Universal Studios Florida Is Like Walking Through the Classic Movie

image-from-ios-250-8778810

Now it’s showtime! After rumors of a Beetlejuice haunted house swirled, we confirmed that the ghost with the most was indeed coming to Universal Studios Florida on Halloween. We secured a spot in the virtual line this morning to check out the new haunted house experience. The Beetlejuice haunted house is open from 10 AM until 6 PM. It is operating with a virtual line only. Like the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein […]

REVIEW: New Maple Cream Voodoo Doughnut is Perfectly Sweet at Universal Orlando Resort

maple-cream-doughnut-voodoo-doughnut-10

Fall has brought plenty of interesting flavors to Universal Orlando Resort, and the latest offering centers around the taste of maple. The new Maple Cream Doughnut has arrived at Voodoo Doughnut in CityWalk Orlando, consisting of a maple cream shell with a Bavarian cream filling and topped with maple frosting. This outside is similar to the shop’s Maple Bar, so to differentiate, they’ve added a pair of eyes and a moustache in white icing. And to be honest, it looks […]

Review! We Tried a Classic Treat With a Halloween TWIST in Disney World Today!

Did you think spooky treat season was over?? Absolutely not! We still have one day left to load up on sugary sweets and savory treats!

Halloween Treats!

We’ve been eating our way through the Halloween season at Disney World. We’ve stocked up on Caramel Pumpkin Cupcakes, Mickey Rice Crispies, huge pumpkin shakes, and SO more. Let’s finish off the season strong with some super special spooky snacks. Disney is offering limited Halloween Day treats for one day and one day only! We’re back in the parks to give you a full review of what’s good and what’s skippable when it comes to seasonal eats!

We’d like to turn your attention to the very festive Halloween Sugar Cookie. We grabbed this over at Traveler’s Cafe, also known as the Starbucks location in EPCOT. When he heard that this cookie was merely a sugar cookie topped with Halloween sprinkles, we felt a little unimpressed. How different could a sugar cookie with sprinkles be? Will it compare to the GIANT sugar cookie that stole our hearts earlier this month? And, is it worth spending the cash when EPCOT is hosting an entire festival dedicated to food right now??

Halloween Sugar Cookie

Well, this cookie did not disappoint. We thought it was a very nice, chewy sugar cookie and although it is fairly plain, this cookie was BIG. You could definitely share between your group especially if you want to snack your way around EPCOT. This cookie was not lacking on the sprinkles, and we noticed that this is the same sugar cookie Starbucks usually sells, just with Halloween sprinkles instead of clear sprinkles.

Halloween Sugar Cookie

The kid’s will definitely enjoy this one because there is SO much sugar! Or if you need a quick sugar rush, this cookie should do the trick. If you do not like overly sweet treats, we’d recommend skipping this one. You can purchase this on Halloween day only for $3.29.

Halloween Sugar Cookie

Does this cookie seem a little lackluster to you? Never fear! There are SO many Halloween treats at EPCOT right now. Check out our ultimate guide to Halloween treats right here!

Review! Is this Halloween Cupcake in Disney World as Basic as its Name Suggests?

Hello, spooky season! Halloween is OFFICIALLY HERE — can you believe it? And we are so ready!

Halloween Balloon

We’ve already been enjoying the Halloween decorations, villains cavalcades, spooky treats, and themed drinks of the season! And we just found another spooky snack that we just HAD to try!

While searching for treats around EPCOT, we found the Halloween Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion!

Halloween Cupcake

The Halloween Cupcake comes with your choice of either chocolate or vanilla cake with buttercream icing. It also has spooky sprinkles and a white chocolate Mickey Pumpkin topper, even though they weren’t listed on the Mobile Order description!

Halloween Cupcake

The cupcake tasted fresh and it was a good size with lots of icing. The sprinkles and Mickey Pumpkin topper were a cute touch, but we would have loved to see a unique character topper to make this snack really stand out from the other Halloween treats we’ve tried this year!

Halloween Cupcake

We also would have preferred some kind of filling in the cupcake to kick it up a notch since it was pretty simple overall. But this could be a great treat for the kiddos or for guests who prefer a more simple, straightforward dessert!

Halloween Cupcake

In all, we’d say “Halloween Cupcake” is a fitting name for this snack — it’s a simple, Halloween-themed treat without many extra bells and whistles. It was good, but definitely not the most unique dessert we’ve had in Disney World this Halloween season! If you’d like to give this cupcake a try, you can snag it for $5.99 at Sunshine Seasons. Happy Halloween, friends!

Review! This EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Favorite Just Got SPOOKY!

We’ve been munching on tasty Halloween treats all season long in preparation for the spookiest day of the year! Now that it’s officially “All Hallows’ Eve,” we’re able to try even MORE limited-time snacks, available today only!

Candy Corn Cupcake

So far, EPCOT has had the least to offer in terms of spooky treats this Halloween season. But overnight, the park added a few new items, including a Halloween Sugar Cookie, Nemo & Squirt’s Noggin Concoction, and even their own Halloween Cupcake to take part in the celebration!

When we heard that the Desserts & Champagne Booth from the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival was going to offer an exclusive Halloween Day treat, we jumped for joy!

Desserts and Champagne

That’s because this is one of our favorite booths at the festival this year, and it’s not every day that a Food and Wine Festival booth serves up Halloween goodies! This booth is known for the Liquid Nitro Cake Pops it has served up during the festival.

Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pops

Not only are they a solid deal at only $4 a pop, but this freshman festival dessert even made it on our Best of the Fest list (quite an accomplishment for a first-timer!).

Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pop with Crushed M&Ms

But would this booth’s Halloween Liquid Nitro Cake Pop be any different than the three pops we’ve already enjoyed at Food and Wine? We were more than happy to taste it and find out!

Halloween Liquid Nitro Cake Pop

No surprises here! This one-day offering is another liquid nitro chocolate cake pop, but this time it comes decorated with Halloween sprinkles. At first glance, it looks like the booth just got a big ol’ box of Halloween sprinkles to toss their existing cake pops in. But the liquid nitrogen definitely adds to the spookiness since it gives off a smoky effect when the cake pops are dipped in it.

Halloween Liquid Nitro Cake Pop

And there are no real surprises here in terms of taste — it’s the same as the three original cake pop offerings, just with sprinkles as the topping! And even though they’re only on one side of the cake pop, there are a looooot of sprinkles — so if you’re not a fan of them (or chocolate!) you might want to skip this treat.

Halloween Liquid Nitro Cake Pop

This isn’t our first choice of the cake pop flavors available at the Desserts and Champagne booth, but if you really love the crunch of sprinkles, or get a kick out of the Halloween theming, it could be right up your alley. And at $4 for a pretty large portion, we still think this treat is a great deal. If you want to give the Halloween Liquid Nitro Cake Pop a try, head to the World Showplace Pavilion in EPCOT today to snag it!
