What’s New at Magic Kingdom: a Weird Blue Pluto, an Updated Character Sighting, and Bwana Bob’s BACK!

Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!

Happy Halloween!

And, we’ve got plenty of construction, merchandise, entertainment, and food updates to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!

Magic Kingdom Construction Update

City Hall

As guests enter the Magic Kingdom, one of the first places they’ll notice is City Hall standing tall right before Main Street, U.S.A. Over the past few months (even before the closures), City Hall has been undergoing refurbishment with scrims up around the area.

However, the scrims were finally down yesterday, so everyone could admire the detail Disney puts into all their buildings! Welcome back, City Hall!!

Social Distancing Markers

Since this can be a confusing time, the distancing markers around the parks can be a bit hard to navigate. A Cast Member told us at Memento Mori that they’ve had to let guests know that the arrows aren’t, in fact, stopping points. Instead, they’re simply meant to show everyone which way the traffic flow should be going.

Memento Mori

If you’re heading into the parks, make sure to listen to the Cast Members who are doing their best to help guests and control traffic at the same time! And, be on the lookout for arrows on the ground versus distancing markers that state for guests to stop.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update

Emporium

Disney characters get makeovers from time to time, but we couldn’t help but stop and stare at the new colorful palette that’s been given to some iconic plushes. Mickey’s no longer fashioning his normal red and black pairing in this new collection. He’s turned BLUE instead!

Blue Mickey

And Minnie has ditched the bright red and white polka dots for a pink and silver ensemble too!

Pink Minnie

But, the biggest change we spotted was that Pluto was no longer a yellow, happy-go-lucky pup. He’s decided to match with Mickey by turning a very…VERY…bright teal (and we’re not sure how to feel about it).

Teal Pluto

The Teal Pluto Plush also comes with his standard name tag, letting guests know to return him to Mickey (since shades of blue are apparently sticking together). If you’re into the new color scheme, you can get the redesigned plushes at the Emporium for $29.99 each!

Bwana Bob’s

Merchandise can’t stop and won’t stop in Disney World! And, the Bwana Bob’s kiosks are BACK in Adventureland so guest can pick up souvenirs like Minnie Ears — or just go “window shopping.” Bwana Bob’s has put new safety measures in place with distancing markers that allow guests to safely stay apart while they wait for their turn to check out what Minnie Ears, hats, and more are on the shelves.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe

After Disney made the announcement about Cinderella Castle’s decorations and the return of Festival of the Holidays, we quickly started making our list and checking it twice for what holiday festivities we’ll be holding this year. And, one of our favorite things to do as Christmas time gets nearer is to start stocking up on holiday decorations for our homes at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe!

Christmas Porcelain Figurines

While we were taking a look at the ornaments, wreaths, and other goodies, we noticed the sweet Christmas Porcelain Figurines dressed in their holiday best! Mickey’s ready to play Santa this year and give gifts, while Minnie is hanging the ornaments with care as Mrs. Claus.

Christmas Porcelain Figurines

Meanwhile, Pluto (not blue) looks about ready to chow down on a loaf of gingerbread or Christmas cookies (same, friend). As you start thinking about Christmas, you can pick up the Porcelain Figurines for $44.99 to place on your mantlepiece by your stockings!

Memento Mori

Haunted Mansion merchandise has been sweeping over the Magic Kingdom with ghoulish delight this Fall, bringing sippers, pillows, bags, and other items to the park. However, you can look just like a Ghost Host wearing the Haunted Mansion Shirt while you’re visiting the attraction or going on a Halloween snack crawl.

Haunted Mansion Shirt

The purple acid-washed tee is decorated with an image of the mansion and yellow, white, and black bats taking flight after listening to the Grim Grinning Ghosts belt out hauntingly great tunes. You can add yet another Haunted Mansion Shirt to your collection for $36.99 from Memento Mori.

And, while you’re there, you can check out all the Haunted Mansion Magnets that will surely add a bit of frightful fun to your spooky decorations!

Haunted Mansion Magnets

While we’ve seen a few of these before, there are a couple of new options that Haunted Mansion fans will love! You can pick up the Doom Buggy Magnet

…but be warned that the Hitchhiking Ghosts might follow you home in a Doom Buggy with the Hitchhiking Ghosts Magnet.

You can rep your favorite attraction by using the Haunted Mansion Logo Magnet

…or summon a few ghostly friends using the Madame Leota Magnet! Each of the accessories costs $14.99, so you can mix and match which magnets you’re going to display at your next swinging wake.

Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.

When it’s spooky season, we think it’s definitely part of the fun to deck out ALL our outfits in pumpkins, candy corn, and other Halloween treats! Since we’re going to be taking a lot of pictures of the snacks that will be coming to the parks throughout the season, we think that the Mickey Jack O’ Lantern Phone Case

…and the Sugar Rush Halloween Phone Case are two perfect accessories to keep with us as we creep through Disney World this Fall! You can grab the new phone cases at the Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. at the exit of Space Mountain for $29.99 each…if you dare.

Magic Kingdom Food Update

Joffrey’s Revive

While we noticed that the Incredible Frozen Flame was back over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the passionfruit and strawberry drink has also popped up at Joffrey’s Revive in Tomorrowland too!

Magic Kingdom Entertainment Update

Fairytale Hall

Anastasia and Drizella have been chilling out on the balcony of Cinderella Castle, complaining about each other and providing hilarious banter for guests to hear! However, now that Cindy has returned to the castle over at Cinderella’s Royal Table, the step-sisters have been banished to the outside Fairytale Hall instead.

Fairytale Hall

No matter where they are, Anastasia and Drizella can’t help but make us giggle with how witty and hilarious they are!
