NEWS: The California Department of Health to Release Reopening Guidelines for Disneyland and Other Theme Parks

Disneyland has proposed a reopening for July 17th, and it’s not the only California park looking to reopen.

With many major California theme parks looking to reopen soon (notably, Disneyland), state government officials are looking to issue specific reopening guidelines and modifications to Disneyland and the other parks.

According to the Orange County Register, the California government is preparing for the potential reopening of theme parks in Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan. A statement from the state noted, “The California Department of Public Health will issue detailed guidance with suggested modifications for how to minimize the risk of…spread when theme parks reopen.” California is currently in Phase 3, which you can read more about here.

The state has been collaborating on reopening plans with the California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA), an organization that represents Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, SeaWorld, Legoland, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and California’s Great America.
