We Wore $15 Shoes to Disney World, and This Is How It Went

We Wore Shoes to Disney World, and This Is How It Went

We tell you all the time that it’s extremely important to wear the RIGHT shoes to Disney World, and we stand by that statement.

Mickey shoes

Now, the “right” shoes may vary from person to person — some people have high arches in their feet and need sneakers with lots of support, while some don’t have any arches at all and are more comfortable in open-toed shoes/sandals. Some guests prefer to get top-of-the-line sneakers that can be pretty expensive, while others are really just looking to get a quality shoe for the lowest price they can. If you’re in the market for a deal on new shoes, you’ve come to the right place. We just tried out $15 sneakers in Disney World for a WHOLE day and are here to tell you if they’re a steal….or if you should walk away from the deal.

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

Here at DFB, we LOVE to test out new and interesting products in Disney World so that you know what’s worth buying for your trip! We’ve tested shoe covers, ponchos, portable chargers, and much, much more. Now, we’re back to try out a pair of shoes. Let’s hope they can stand up to a long, busy day at Disney World.

Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers

We headed over to ALDI recently and grabbed ourselves a pair of their ALDI Ladies Memory Foam Trainers to test in Disney World. These are only $15, and we found ourselves doubting their level of comfort since, well, we bought them at a grocery store for only $15. That deal was too good to miss, though, so we figured it was the perfect opportunity to try them out and tell YOU if you should consider them for your trip.

Aldi Ladies Memory Foam Trainers

Our first impression was pretty positive — we liked the way they looked and felt on our feet for the most part. The design of these sneakers is simple — we got a pair of light gray shoes with black laces and light pink accents.

Out of the box

We first noticed that the foam at the bottom of the shoes is a bit stiffer than some of our other memory foam shoes. However, it was also their first test run out, so we fully realized that stiffness could go away after the shoes were broken (ALWAYS break in your shoes before going to Disney World!).

In the park

Now, if we’re being nitpicky, we should point out that the shoes had some minor quality issues; there were some crooked stitches here and there, but overall, these held up after a full day in Disney World! At the end of the day, there were no scuffs or marks, so we thought these shoes were surprisingly durable.

They do look pretty wide at the heel

Overall, are they our favorite new shoes? No, not exactly, but for $15, we would totally wear them again, and they’re great if you need a last-minute backup shoe for your trip. So, if you’re looking for a very budget-friendly option, head over to ALDI before they’re gone!

On the go!

We’re always here to check out new products and let you know how they’ll work for your upcoming Disney World vacation, so stay tuned to DFB!
