Disney Adults know a thing or two about Disney World, and the DFB team is full of Disney Adults. We are always sharing our best hacks and tips with you to help you become Disney World pros and make your vacations a bit easier.
As Disney Adults, we know that sometimes the hacks that we share may seem like a little much, but trust us, they can make a massive difference in helping you make the most out of your vacation to Disney World. So, we are sharing ten tips that will change the way you do a Magic Kingdom park day!
Let’s get into it!
Take the Stairs
After dealing with arguably the worst part of the Magic Kingdom experience, the Transportation and Ticket Center, you are most likely going to want to get into the park ASAP.
If you take the monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center, once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, take the stairs down from the Monorail station rather than the ramp. While this may only save you a minute or two, it is faster than waiting for the crowd of people to exit on the ramp.
Take Your Food to Go
It can be stressful trying to find a place to sit and eat in the Magic Kingdom, especially during busy meal times. If you are struggling to find a table, you can actually take your food to another quick-service dining location instead!
Tomorrowland Terrace has not been open for regular operation as a quick-service location but still has tons of seating. You can order your food from another restaurant and take it to this quiet area. As a heads up, this hack only works during breakfast and lunch, as Tomorrowland Terrace hosts firework dessert parties in the evening.
We won’t lie; it is so quiet over at Tomorrowland Terrace that our team has actually worked remotely from the parks from here!
Watch the Parade from Frontierland
Depending on where you watch the parade from, the parade may not start at the parade start time. If you decide to watch the 3 PM parade from Main Street, you may not begin to see the parade for almost 20 minutes.
Instead, watch the parade from Frontierland since that is where the parade starts. This can give you more time to check out other parts of the park, as the parade will be over for you before it is for those watching on Main Street.
Leave for Lunch
Noon at the Magic Kingdom is one of the worst times to be in the park. Everyone is scrambling to get their mid-day fuel. Mobile Order slots fill up, tables are full, and everyone is crowding to eat.
Instead, hop on the Resort Monorail line and head to a Monorail Resort to grab a bite to eat. Not only is it fun to check out another resort, but it tends to be less hectic, and you can take a break from the heat and the crowds.
Why Eating Lunch in Magic Kingdom Is a HUGE Mistake
Don’t Leave After the Fireworks
We know that the fireworks at the end of the night are a perfect way to end the day, but trust us, you are going to want to stay in the Magic Kingdom just a bit longer.
Once the fireworks end, the crowds heading out of the park can be overwhelming, and transportation lines can be backed up. Just hang out and enjoy the Magic Kingdom for a bit longer to avoid dealing with the firework rush of crowds.
Use the Emporium as a Shortcut
Magic Kingdom’s biggest gift shop, the Emporium, is not only filled with Disney goodies and souvenirs, but it also acts as a highway straight through Main Street, U.S.A. If Main Street is packed from the parade or fireworks, consider ducking in the Emporium to get to the front or end of Main Street.
Don’t Use Mobile Order, Just This One Time
Now, we are BIG fans of Mobile Order, but there is one time you should wait it out in line, and that is at the Main Street Confectionary. If you want to try out a popcorn mix, we highly recommend waiting in line to make your own.
Mobile Order only has two popcorn mix options, and you can not make any modifications. We think it is 100% worth it to wait in line to be able to create the mix that you want.
Take the Resort Monorail
If you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, you will either take the Ferryboat or the Monorail. At night when people start to leave the Magic Kingdom, many people choose to take the Express Monorail, which often can have a very long line.
While the Express Monorail line typically runs more Monorails, it can be a good idea to get in line for the Resort Monorail as the line is usually shorter. There is just one stop at the Contemporary before the Resort Monorail heads to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Don’t Let the Rain Ruin Your Day
Now, it is no secret that it can rain quite a bite in Central Florida, especially during the summer months.
While many people leave the park when it rains or flock to a gift shop to stay dry, the rain can actually be your friend! As people leave the park, wait times for attractions can start to drop. So pack your poncho, and don’t let the rain ruin your day in the Magic Kingdom!

Celebrate the Holidays Early
Disney World, but especially Magic Kingdom, knows how to celebrate both Halloween and Christmas. Many people flock to the park to see the decorations closer to each of the holidays, but the decorations go up pretty early.
By the first week of August, Magic Kingdom is typically all decked out for Halloween.
And by the first week of November, the first signs of Christmas decorations start popping up.
In some cases, if you visit Disney World at the end of October into the beginning of November, you may get to see the transformation from Halloween to Christmas. By going earlier in the holiday season to see decorations, you can avoid the larger crowds that come later in the season.
Well, there you have it! While these might not be your typical Magic Kingdom tips, they are good to keep in mind to make your visit even more magical!
