From ensuring all-day comfort to creating your own unique souvenir, your t-shirts could play a way more important role in your Disney World vacation than you think!
For many people, t-shirts are an absolute staple when packing for a Disney World vacation! But even though t-shirts are a wardrobe basic, they aren’t all created equal. In fact, we’ve learned some super important tips when it comes to picking — and packing — your t-shirts for Disney World, and we’re here to share!
Wear White T-Shirts to Attract Less Heat
It’s no secret that your time in Disney World can get HOT, especially if you’re visiting during late spring, summer, or early fall. That’s why we make sure to pack plenty of white t-shirts when we’re traveling during steamy times of year, since white attracts less heat than dark colors.
You can even stock up with a multi-pack of white t-shirts to make sure you’re covered for your whole trip!
Roll Your T-Shirts When Packing
One of our favorite multi-purpose packing hacks is to roll your t-shirts instead of folding them. Rolling them makes them more compact so they take up less space in your luggage AND it can also help reduce wrinkling!
Plus, we’ve also got a bonus hack for this one — now that they’re nice and compact, you can pack your rolled-up t-shirts in your carry-on bag to save space in your luggage for your bigger and bulkier items.
Pack Plain T-Shirts for Character Signatures
If you love meeting characters but are bummed that you never seem to pull out that autograph book again after your vacation is over, we’ve got a solution. Pack some plain white t-shirts to have the characters sign when you meet them!
Collecting character signatures on a t-shirt is a fun way to create a customized souvenir that you can actually reuse after your trip!
Wear Moisture-Wicking T-Shirts
Between the sweating, the water rides, and the unpredictable Florida thunderstorms, it’s safe to assume that you’ll likely end up getting wet at some point during your Disney World vacation. And if you’re wearing a t-shirt that holds onto that moisture, it can make for a very LONG and soggy day.
What’s the solution? For one, we pack plenty of t-shirts made of moisture-wicking material so our clothes dry faster when we inevitably do get wet. Trust us, it can go a long way toward reducing chafing, discomfort, and the grumpiness that comes along with them!
Pack An Extra T-Shirt in Your Park Bag
Even if you are wearing a moisture-wicking shirt, we’ve found that it’s still a good idea to pack an extra t-shirt in your park bag. Take it from us — we’ve ended up SOAKED from a popup downpour, covered in spilled BBQ sauce, and countless other mishaps where no amount of moisture-wicking could save us. It’s times like that when we’re eternally grateful to have an extra shirt we can change into fast!
Plus, you can even use one of the earlier hacks and roll up that t-shirt before you pack it in your park bag so it takes up less space!
