Every Single Disney Ride Opening in 2025

The Disney Parks are constantly changing, and it can be tough to keep up.

Magic Kingdom

Last year, Disney unloaded SO MUCH info about the future of its theme park experiences at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. We learned about land expansions, whole new themed lands, new rides, and so much more coming to the theme parks worldwide. Really, we now know that the parks are going to be incredibly busy with TONS of projects over the coming years. With that said, 2025 will see plenty of construction start, but only a handful of new attractions are opening this year.

As we previously mentioned, there aren’t a ton of actual new rides opening at the Disney Parks in 2025 as they all mostly be in the beginning stages of construction. With that in mind, we’re lumping in a few highly-anticipated shows. Without further ado, here are EIGHT Disney Parks attractions that are slated to open in 2025.

Magic Kingdom

Disney Starlight

A new nighttime show is coming to Disney World in 2025! Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is a new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom that will feature floats inspired by iconic Disney movies such as Encanto, Moana, and Peter Pan. Per Disney, these floats will be lit up “using the latest technology to tell new stories about the characters you love.”

The show will be “brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy” from Pinocchio and is expected to debut this summer.

EPCOT

New Test Track

EPCOT’s Test Track is currently undergoing a long retheme that will come to fruition this year! Disney collaborated with Chevrolet to create this new version of the ride which celebrates the history of transportation and innovation. As part of the new theming, the latest version of this ride will honor the past, present, and future with the queue featuring six distinct exhibits.

Test Track’s latest version should open in late summer and will feature new show scenes highlighting technological advances that show “how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone.”

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After

Replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a new live stage show that will transform the theater into the “mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror.” Characters like Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and more have already been teased and you can expect to see them “breaking through the glass” as they jump on stage and perform.

As Disney Villains are set to have a bigger role at Disney World in the coming years, this show will be the first inclusion in a new era and will debut this summer.

“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”

Staying in Hollywood Studios, a brand new Little Mermaid show called The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is also premiering this summer. The new show will feature live actors, puppets, digital animation, and live motion capture as it retells the classic Disney Movie in an “underwater” setting.

This new show is replacing Voyage of the Little Mermaid and will be retold almost entirely from Ariel’s point of view. Expect to hear two new songs that weren’t in the previous show: “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.”

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Zootopia: Better Zoogether!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is losing a lot this year, but it will be getting the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether! in the Tree of Life. The new Zootopia show is replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug and will feature Zootopia characters like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

The new show will be in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and is set to debut on May 16th! When it premieres, it will be the only show playing in the Main Street Opera House. But don’t worry, Great Moments will eventually return and the two shares will share the space.

The show will be held at the Hangar Stage and Hangar Stage will feature characters from Disney and Pixar Animation projects like Mickey, Minnie, Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pete, Donald, Miguel, Moana, Pocahontas, and many more.
