REVIEW: There’s a NEW Kitchen Sink Sundae in Disney World and It’s a LOT

Our girl, Minnie Mouse, sure knows how to rock the dots!

Minnie sure knows how to wear the cutest polka dots!

Today, January 22nd, is National Polka Dot Day and we’re celebrating with Minnie! Several new snacks have surfaced at the Disney parks for the momentous occasion. Come with us as we try one of the new ice cream sundaes to celebrate our favorite pattern.

Disney Eats shared on their Instagram that they are celebrating National Polka Dot Day with lots of snacks inspired by our favorite lady mouse, Minnie!

You can find kitchen sink sundaes, a strawberry waffle sundae, and Minnie Mouse dome cake in Disney World, and a Polka Dot Valentine Mickey-shaped Balloon Bucket in Disneyland! But you know what our hearts were after, the Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae at Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We scooted over to Hollywood Scoops first thing in the morning where we picked up our very own Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae. (Turns out we were the third ones to ever order the treat!)  The Minnie Mouse polka dot kitchen sink bowl isn’t new to Disney World (but they brought it back for the special occasion), but the ice cream sundae in it is.

The sundae has strawberry ice cream topped with red vanilla whipped cream, chocolate syrup, white “polka dot” sprinkles, cookie ears, and a chocolate bow. You can eat it all up for $24.99!

Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae

This adorable ice cream sundae is perfect for National Polka Dot Day! They even sprinkled “polka dots” on the whipped cream. We noticed that the whipped topping melted rather quickly, but the ice cream underneath held up pretty well. The dyed whipped cream was also quite red which ended up staining our fingers when we touched some on our bow.

Look at all the polka dots!

But that strawberry ice cream was so good. It was creamy and thick!

So good!

This “snack” is large, though! Our reporter got halfway through it and was getting full. For $25, it’s certainly shareable, even for 3 people.

Overall, we really enjoyed eating this sundae (especially as our breakfast!). We would recommend it for anyone who LOVES ice cream (so you can eat it all) or for a group who is looking for a special treat. All of the polka-dot snacks look fantastic, so hurry to get one to celebrate!

In the meantime, keep following DFB for more Disney news!
