Do You Bring Props to the Disney Theme Parks?

Have you ever been on a Disney vacation and maybe seen other guests with the most perfect prop, whether it was on an attraction or posing with a character for a photo?

One time when I was on the Haunted Mansion attraction, we were in the scene where Madame Leota says, “Wizards and witches, wherever you dwell, give us a hint by ringing a bell,” and someone in the Doom Buggy next to ours had a bell in their hand, stuck it out far in front of them, and rang it! I thought that was just the coolest thing and then started thinking about other fun props you and I could bring to the parks for a bit of added magic.

Of course, we could bring a “thingamabob” – commonly known as a fork (wink, wink) – to a meet and greet with Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I also thought it might be fun to bring a [small] cast iron skillet to breakfast at Trattoria al Forno (character dining is temporarily unavailable) on the BoardWalk. How cute would that be for a photo with Flynn Ryder and/or Rapunzel? I’ve also thought it would be fun to bring a fresh red rose to the meet-and-greet with Belle and the Beast.

Have you ever brought a prop with you? I’d love to hear more ideas and experiences as we’re not too far from starting to plan our first family vacation to Disneyland in many years, and I think this might be fun for the kiddos in our party!
