The trademarks were all filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on January 20, 2023. They are for a wide variety of entertainment, food and beverage locations, and merchandise, covering everything from “haunted/scare attractions” to “battery powered toothbrushes.”

Here is exactly what the entertainment trademark reads:

However, just because something is listed in the trademark registration does not mean it will come to fruition. It only means Universal will have the right to use “Universal Horror Unleashed” on any of these types of products or services.

The trademarks remain live and awaiting examination.

Universal Parks Resorts to Bring Entirely New Year Round Horror Experience to Las Vegas

The Las Vegas horror destination will be 110,000 square feet and the anchor tenant of a 20-acre expansion to AREA15. Universal says the destination will “feature a continuously updated experience, must see seasonal events, and one-of-a-kind merchandise.” It “will bring to life Universal’s vast library of classic horror films and today’s most terrifying tales.” Concept art features Jack the Clown and Chance, two Halloween Horror Nights icons.

Universal announced the horror destination on the same day they announced a new family-focused theme park coming to Frisco, Texas. This is amidst the continued construction of Epic Universe, a new theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.
