The Caramel Snack in Disney World That Truly Confused Us

When we say Werther’s Caramel, what do you think of?

Big Top Treats

We bet you immediately think of Karamel Kuche in EPCOT and all those delicious Werther’s snacks available there — the Caramel Popcorn, the Boozy Caramel Flight, and one of our faves, the Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich. But you can get ANOTHER Werther’s Caramel snack in Magic Kingdom — and we’re checking it out!

So this snack is a Werther’s Caramel Bar (Disney didn’t have an official name for the treat, so this is what we’re going with!). But we’ve never tried it before, so we got it! But once we got it, we realized that it’s sort of like a thick, but moist, granola bar with a ton of caramel on top.

No idea what the name of this thing is, but CARAMEL

That made it very crumbly, meaning that it was a weird texture — almost like eating two separate snacks (and the caramel just wanted to slide right off).

A caramel granola bar?

We did see some dried cranberries in there, but the taste of the bar itself was more sweet than tart. Are there nuts in this thing? Who knows? It kinda’ looks that way, but it was hard to tell. Also, even if it was like a granola bar, we’d be fooling ourselves if we called this “healthy” — there’s a LOT of caramel on top.

Not all that healthy

Overall, it was…weird. This isn’t a flavor combo we wouldn’t put together ourselves and it’s one of those things we don’t think we’d get again. There are way better treats available in the same bakery case, particularly ones with Werther’s Caramel. Still, if you want to try this for yourself, we found it at Big Top Treats for $4.99.

All kinds of stuff in there

Speaking of snacks, we’ll be trying out all the new holiday treats available at the parks and for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party soon, so be sure to stay tuned for more reviews!
