Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, & More Coming to Upcharge Disney Premier Access Service at Tokyo Disney Resort

After introducing the upcharge Disney Premier Access service earlier this year as a replacement for the former free FastPass service, Tokyo Disney Resort has slowly expanded its availability from two attractions to now three as well as one show. Now the Oriental Land Company appears to be going all-in on Disney Premier Access, adding two new attractions at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea starting in December.

Starting December 1, guests who wish to save time waiting for The Happy Ride with Baymax or Splash Mountain may purchase Disney Premier Access for ¥1500 ($10.84). Premier Access will remain available for Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast at ¥2000 ($14.46).

Meanwhile at Tokyo DisneySea, guests visiting from December 9 can purchase Disney Premier Access to ride Tower of Terror or Journey to the Center of the Earth for ¥1500 ($10.84). Meanwhile, “Believe! Sea of Dreams” will remain available for ¥2500 ($18.07), along with Soaring: Fantastic Flight and Toy Story Mania for ¥2000 ($14.46).

Additionally, new changes are being implemented starting December 1 to better facilitate the use of Disney Premier Access:

  • Guests may purchase another attraction after one hour, or whenever the start of their return window is, whichever comes first.
  • Guests can also purchase the same attraction again after using their last pass for the same ride, or whenever their return window ends — whichever comes first.

Other rules will remain the same. Guests may hold a show and attraction ticket at the same time, and may only purchase a show once per person.

Disney Premier Access was introduced in May as a replacement for FastPass, allowing guests to pay a premium price to skip the standby line. Unlike Disney Genie+, attractions are only sold a la carte.
