Everything You Can Get for FREE at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Disney World

As Olaf would say, “Happy merry holly jolly seasons greetings here!”

Magic Kingdom’s Christmas Tree!

It’s time for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to kick off in Disney World, and we’re ready to check out the celebrations! This is the first year the party has taken place officially since 2019, and many guests are EXCITED. (Tickets are already selling out!) So to get ya ready, we’re sharing the list of things that you can get for FREE at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Tickets for the event went on sale a while back, and they range in cost from $149-$199, although most of the cheaper dates are now unavailable. Most people purchase the party tickets to experience all the special holiday entertainment, including Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show.

Your ticket will also give you access to purchase exclusive snacks and merchandise that are not available to day guests at Magic Kingdom. There are typically treats spread around the park (and this year’s list has already been announced), as well as a special merchandise collection available during the event at select shops.

But all those things are either expected with your ticket or you have to pay extra…what do you actually get as a “free” bonus? Let’s dive in!

Cookies and Drinks

One of the best “free” perks of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (we put “free” in quotations simply because you’re already paying for the party ticket) is the endless supply of cookies and beverages! Each year, Disney sets up cookie stations around the park, similar to how trick-or-treating is done at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies Treat Marker

In the past, these stations each offered different flavors of cookies, ranging from Snickerdoodle to chocolate chip to peppermint and more! This was the case during the last party in 2019, so we hope they bring back the variety of flavors yet again. We will update you as soon as we see it for ourselves!

Along with the cookies, the various snack stops offer holiday-centric beverages as well. In the past, we’ve had hot chocolate, apple cider, and even eggnog. Yum!

Snickerdoodle and Hot Cocoa

Just look out for those giant inflatable candy cane markers to find the spots where you’ll collect free treats.

Shorter Wait Times Without Genie+

During holiday parties, Disney’s skip-the-line system Genie+ is not available. (Same with Individual Lightning Lane purchases.) You may be concerned that you’ll have to wait in long lines during the party, but don’t worry — that’s typically not the case!

The Halloween and Christmas parties at Magic Kingdom are limited-capacity events. While that doesn’t mean they’ll be crowd-free, that does mean that you’ll likely see much lower wait times for rides than you would during the daytime. Since the party is only 5 hours long and there are lots of entertainment options, unique character meets, and treat stations, many guests will skip the attractions altogether in favor of experiencing the holiday exclusives…making those wait times nice and short.

Haunted Mansion as a walk-on

Not every ride will be a walk-on, but for those that are, it’s almost like you’ve got Genie+ without spending the minimum price of $15 per ticket! However, you are paying much more for the actual MVMCP ticket, so you’ve got to weigh your pros and cons there. Thankfully, the party ticket comes with a lot more benefits and unique offerings than Genie+ does.
