Your Last-Minute Guide to Bringing Disney Home for Halloween

It’s only a few days away; the spooky season that some Disney fans have celebrated since August is happening on Monday. If you’re anything like me, you might have been fooled into thinking you had plenty of time to plan your movements for the next few days, but then, surprise, you’ve left it too late. If that’s the case, then you are in luck today, as you can benefit from my frantic, last-minute research and maybe utilize some of these really cool Disney tips I found along the way.

Getting Your Disney Villain Makeup on Point

As you can imagine, I’ve collected so many Disney-themed pieces of apparel over my lifetime that I can throw together a costume pretty easily. On the other hand, I’m not quite so handy when it comes to makeup, which means the difference between my Merida costume being mistaken for Darla from ‘Finding Nemo.’ You know, red pigtails, braces, slightly psychotic-looking eyes? While searching for everything I need for Monday, I came across a few makeup tutorials from Disney that might get some of you out of trouble with your own costumes. You can find all the instructions here.

Halloween Treet Charcuterie Board

Do you have guests coming over in the next few days? My kids are having friends over on Monday night, and I was at a complete loss for what to make. All the Halloween treats look fantastic but require much more time than I have available, especially since it’s Monday, so obviously, we will be meeting for our weekly Merch rundown. I was about to say, I give up, just order pizza, when I came across this fantastic idea of a Treat Charcuterie Board. The best part about this is that you can’t get it wrong! Once you start filling all the space with colorful treats, it will look amazing. If you have more time than I do and want to make everything on the board from scratch, you can find fabulous ideas with these instructions. Or, you can take the path I will be and collect pre-made items from the local store, adding your decorations here and there. Plastic spiders will be featured heavily on my platter.
