While Halloween celebrations are in full swing, Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is right around the corner on November 1 and 2, 2022. New “Coco” and Mexico merchandise, including a papel picado ear headband, is now available at Disneyland Resort. We found these items in Seaside Souvenirs at Disney California Adventure.

The new items were on display with some older “Coco” and Mexico Pavilion merchandise.
Imitation Leather Purse – $39.99

This brown imitation leather purse is debossed with Mickey heads and sugar skulls. A Minnie head with a pink bow is on the center of the flap. Colorful dots and diamonds are around the debossed images on the flap.

Pink and blue hearts are in the Mickey heads that line the edge of the purse, alternating with Xs.

The flap has a magnetic snap closure.

The interior lining is dark blue, with purple bones and sugar skulls pictured alongside colorful Mickey heads and Xs.

There is a small zip pocket inside.

The included bag charm has a purple Mickey-shaped puffball with pink and teal blue ball.
Puffball Clutch – $29.99

This clutch is white with colorful flowers and Mickey heads embroidered in the top right corner.

The edge of the purse is lined with small pink, blue, yellow, white, and black puffballs.

The zipper pull has two large red and blue puffballs.

The interior lining is bright pink.
Minnie Mouse Catrina Doll – $29.99

This limited edition deluxe Minnie Mouse doll was designed by Mexican artists. Minnie is wearing a dress inspired by the textiles and traditions of Mexican fashion. She has a marigold flower crown, tassel purse, and fan. She’s also wearing traditional sugar skull makeup, inspired by La Calavera Catrina, a Day of the Dead icon.

“Coco” Embroidery Kit – $19.99

Decorate your skirts just like Minnie with this embroidery kit. It includes five fabric markers, four 3″ embroidery hoops, bag clip attachments, Aida embroidery cloth with printed “Coco” designs, plastic safety scissors, six embroidery floss skeins, and four 2″ by 3″ sheets of sticky-backed felt.

Papel Picado Ear Headband – $34.99

This ear headband is inspired by the papel picado (perforated paper) decorations associated with Day of the Dead.

The ears are made of imitation leather with papel picado designs. The purple ear features a sugar skull.

The pink ear features a heart.

They have the same designs on the backs.

Orange and yellow marigolds are across the front and center instead of a bow. Marigolds are also associated with Day of the Dead. It’s said that their strong smell guides the spirits of the dead to their living family members.
“Coco” Headband – $19.99

This headband is covered in gray fabric. It’s embroidered on the sides with images from “Coco,” including Miguel’s skull face, music notes, and marigolds.

The interior of the headband is dark purple printed with black designs.

Check out this “Coco” cushion and youth dress, plus the “Coco” Dooney & Bourke bags and housewares collection.
Guests attending the sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash this season can meet “Coco” villain Ernesto de la Cruz for the first time.
