Not only are they adorable, but they were also the best thing we ate today! Note that the pumpkin spice flavor was VERY low-key. We actually got more spice than pumpkin, and if we didn’t know about the pumpkin we might not have even realized that they’re supposed to have that flavor too. But the spice was the PERFECT addition to the beignet. It added more flavor to the pastry and we actually enjoyed these more than the classic beignets!

The pumpkin spice added a slightly clumpier texture with the powdered sugar, which sounds not so great but we liked it. It seemed like it made them less messy than usual, as there was less sugar “puffing” into the air as we ate them.

And y’all, they were SO FLUFFY. We’re talking warm and fluffy, aka absolute perfection. They weren’t overwhelmingly sweet, either, and if you like your pumpkin flavors on the subtle side, you’d probably love these.
