Which Rides Had the LONGEST Wait Times in Disney World This Week

It’s still summertime in Disney World, which typically means hot weather and big crowds.

But, this summer, we have been surprised by the crowds several times. And, even though the weather is hot, Disney World is already celebrating Halloween! With school starting back up again, people are either taking last minute vacays to the parks or they’re at home getting ready, so it’s a bit unpredictable when it comes to crowds. We’re going to take a look at the wait times from this past week to see just how busy it’s been!

Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 74 minutes!

After that, we had Peter Pan’s Flight at 65 minutes, Splash Mountain at 56 minutes,  Jungle Cruise at 52 minutes, Space Mountain at 45 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 40 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 39 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 37 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 33 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 33 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 27 minutes.

Next, we had Tomorrowland Speedway at 25 minutesUnder the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 22 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 22 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 17 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 17 minutes, and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 16 minutes.

Then, we saw Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 14 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 11 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 11 minutes, and Mad Tea Party at 10 minutes.

And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Liberty Square Riverboat at 7 minutes and Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree,  Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

Halloween just officially kicked off in Disney World as the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was just held! This is the first party since 2019, and you know we had to check out EVERYTHING going on! You can see how the whole night was right here.

Over in EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait was Frozen Ever After at 65 minutes.

Then, we had Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 63 minutes, Test Track at 62 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 35 minutes, Soarin’ at 34 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 13 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 11 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 10 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 9 minutes, The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 8 minutes, and Living with the Land at 8 minutes.

Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!

You might notice a ride missing from this list — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This ride doesn’t actually have an official wait time because it uses a virtual queue which you have to get a boarding pass for, like you used to do with Rise of the Resistance. We’ve got some tips to help you snag one right here!

Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 96 minutes.

After that, we had Slinky Dog Dash at 86 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 63 minutesRock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 61 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 57 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 52 minutes, and Tower of Terror at 50 minutes.

And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 29 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 16 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 14 minutes, Walt Disney Presents at 11 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes.

Rise of the Resistance is still super popular in Hollywood Studios, but know that it is not unusual for the ride to break down! This can really throw a wrench in your day in the park. But, we’ve experienced this enough that we have some helpful tips for ya!

Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 91 minutes.

Then, we had Na’vi River Journey at 57 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 49 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 43 minutes,  DINOSAUR at 29 minutes, and Expedition Everest at 28 minutes.

Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 10 minutes, Triceratop Spin at 7 minutes, The Boneyard at 0 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at 0 minutes.

How can you not fall in love with this little one?!

Over in Animal Kingdom, it can get SUPER hot, especially during these summer months. If you want to have the best chance to see the animals being active during your trip, we would suggest getting to the park as early as possible! The animals are usually out and about more during the cooler parts of the day.
