What Happened to Princess Tiana On This Disney World Dessert?!

It’s World Princess Week, everyone, and Disney is CELEBRATING!

Princesses in Disney World

This week is a part of Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration that’s been going on all year. We’ve seen special merchandise, designer princess dolls, and more for the festivities over the past several months, and we even celebrated World Princess Week last year. Now, the special week has returned, and it’s brought with it some tasty new treats. Come along with us as we try out a NEW dessert inspired by Princess Tiana!

This is the NEW Wishing on Stars dessert from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter. It’s an Olive Oil cake with banana cream pie mousse, white chocolate Feuilletine crunch, and white chocolate glaçage for $6.29.

Looks tasty!

Before we talk about the taste, we need to talk about its appearance — y’all, what is going ON with Tiana?! This looks a LOT different than the picture advertising the treat.

Oh no!

It seems like something obviously went wrong with the design here, unfortunately.

Tiana is not looking too good

But, maybe the taste will make up for it! This was similar to a banana pudding. It just had the addition of white chocolate and some more crunch!

The colors are fun, at least!

We absolutely LOVED the flavors here. We think even picky eaters would enjoy this dessert (unless you hate bananas!).

A small little sweet treat

The taste of the olive oil cake might be a bit unusual if you’ve never had it before, but it is tasty!

Have you had olive oil cake before?

It’s also rather small, so it’s a light dessert. You could split it with someone, but it’s small enough to enjoy completely on your own, too.

The taste made up for the appearance!

If you’re looking for a small snack with a fun banana flavor, this is a great option! You might just want to hold off on putting it on your Instagram story, because Tiana is not looking her best. 😂

Maybe yours will have a better picture of the princess!

If you want to try this treat but aren’t in Disney World during World Princess Week, we have good news — this treat will be available past August 27th! Disney hasn’t said how long it will officially be around, but we do know that it’s not just here for the week.

There are a bunch of ways you can celebrate World Princess Week right now! There’s new merchandise, a special performance from Brandy, and even more treats. We even got a new look at The Princess and the Frog transformation coming to Splash Mountain!

You can also check out limited-time activities and giveaways around Disney World, like princess movie nights at select hotels and a Princess and the Frog paper crown giveaway in EPCOT! There will also be another royal DJ dance party in Disney Springs on Saturday, August 27th.
