REVIEW: Spicy Sausage Bayou Burger Arrives for Halloween at Magic Kingdom

It’s Halloween season, and if you want a spookier meal than usual (but not as scary as anything from Tony’s), Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café is serving up the new Bayou Burger.

Bayou Burger – $12.99

All-beef patty, jalapeño pimento cheese, crispy andouille sausage, and garlic pickles

It’s not as bad as it sounds. The hamburger patty is well done and dry, but the jalapeño pimento cheese adds a little moisture back into the meat.

The crispy sausage is only slightly crispy and tastes exactly as you’d expect. The garlic pickles do not taste like garlic. They are a sweet pickle, but it works with the burger.

You get spice and salt from the pimento cheese and sausage, and then a crunch and sweetness from the pickle. It rounded out the dish. The bun is basic and just holds the burger together.

We would get this again.

The Bayou Burger is available during regular park hours and during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
