Is it too early for Christmas? (We think no)
While we’re still months away from Christmas, it seems Disney is already preparing! Holidays are currently happening in Disney with new merchandise, food, and events for Halloween so it doesn’t feel that weird to be in the celebratory spirit but it seems Disney+ is even further ahead.
Today, Deadline announced that Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Lil Rel Howery, and Teyhonah Parris will be starring in a new Disney+ holiday comedy. The movie will be called Dashing Through The Snow and it’s currently in production in Atlanta.
The comedy is about a divorced social worker who works for the Atlanta police department and hates Christmas because of a painful childhood memory. When the worker is sent to work while spending Christmas Eve with his daughter, he accidentally enrages a local politician but also meets a man who helps him understand the joy and magic of Christmas. The movie is supposed to debut on Disney+ the next holiday season.
Disney+ has currently been the talk of the town with Disney+ Day 2022 coming up in September.
Disney+ Day previously took place in November on the anniversary of Disney+. This year, the day is slated for September 8th.
