Everything NEW Coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially kicks off on August 12th, 2022, with parties on certain days from then until October 31st. We can’t WAIT to go to the spooky celebration, which is finally returning after a 2-year hiatus. Some fan-favorite elements are returning with the party, but there will also be NEW things this year.

If you’re visiting the party, you can check out trick-or-treating stations, themed ride overlays on some attractions, the Boo-to-You parade, and the nighttime Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show! Also returning are the Cadaver Dans (a spooky version of the Dapper Dans), the lady of the manor outside Haunted Mansion, and the Headless Horseman. But what’s going to be NEW in 2022? Let’s find out!

Disney has announced that Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade will have a new addition this year — Max Goof is going to be in the parade, cosplaying as Powerline! In case you’re not familiar with this character, Max Goof is Goofy’s son, and Powerline is Max’s favorite pop superstar (from Disney’s A Goofy Movie).

A new dance party this year will take place at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café with a Zombies theme! The dance party is inspired by the Disney Channel original movie ZOMBIES, and it’ll be called the ZOM-BEATZ BASH. Zombies and Cheerleaders will be there, dancing along with party-goers.

You can’t forget about the trick-or-treating stations around Magic Kingdom! This year, the new treat bags will be reusable, and they’ll have a Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary design on them to celebrate Disney World’s big anniversary. You will be able to take the bags home as a souvenir, and there will also be Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary prints for people to take home as well.

Finally, there will be 3D photo backdrops throughout Magic Kingdom, which you’ll be able to step inside to take a photo! Disney hasn’t announced where these photo ops will be located, but we’ll be sure to let you know once we’ve found them.
