A Disney-Themed Dessert Restaurant Is Coming to Orlando

Disney World has gotten a LOT of new restaurants recently.

Space 220

We had Space 220, Steakhouse 71, and La Crêperie de Paris all open up in 2021, and in 2022 we’ve seen the addition of Connections Eatery and BoardWalk Deli. Besides those, we’re still getting pumped for the arrival of Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land! But what about restaurants OUTSIDE of Disney World? Well, if you’re a dessert fanatic, there’s a new spot coming to Orlando that you’ll want to check out.

According to the Orlando Business Journal, the New-York based White Rabbit Dessert Experience will be opening its first two Florida locations near Disney World and in Orlando! This sit-down dessert shop has an Alice in Wonderland theme, and the first location will open up at Waterford Lakes Town Center in Orlando in September.

The second shop is set to open in Flamingo Crossings (right by Walt Disney World) in spring 2023. Menu specialties include nine flavors of homemade ice cream, made-to-order crepes and waffles, cakes, and homemade sauces and whipped cream. The menu has over 100 items and most fall into the $10-$20 range.

Besides the desserts, the Orlando location will be home to an espresso bar with cappuccinos, lattes, and other sweet drinks. These dessert shops definitely have a fun and whimsical atmosphere, as guests are surrounded by clocks, mirrors, and bright colors to convey the Alice in Wonderland theme. And it’s that particular theme that made the idea of having a location near Disney World so appealing.

10-year leases have been signed for the two shops, and they’ll join the list of three locations that are currently available in upstate New York. We can’t wait to visit in the future and check it out!

Stay tuned to DFB for more restaurant news from Disney World and the surrounding area. We’re also expecting a dessert and tea location (The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers) to open up at Disney’s BoardWalk in the near future, so there are going to be plenty of places to grab sweet treats during your Orlando vacation!
