Whether it be the 1991 classic, the 2017 live-action remake, or that gorgeous soundtrack by Alan Menken, Beauty and the Beast has become a Disney staple on the screen and in the parks.
If you want to have a tale as old as time on your next Walt Disney World trip, check out these eats and experiences for every fan of the beloved movie, and don’t forget to take note of my magical tips!
- Gaston’s Tavern
The cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s Tavern at Magic Kingdom are big, tasty, and just… perfect, a pure paragon! I once shared one with my sister for breakfast, and not only is the food here good, but you’ll feel like you’re transported to the French village and are eating amongst the townspeople. They even have antlers in all of their decorating!
But this little quick-service restaurant is now better known for serving the famous dessert you could once only get at Be Our Guest: The Grey Stuff. The chocolate cupcake topped with grey-colored mousse and shimmering sprinkles is delicious. And if you don’t believe me, ask the dishes!
Magical Tip: Whether you come for breakfast or an afternoon snack, be sure to head down to Main Street by 3 pm to catch Belle and Beast leading the way on the first float during Festival of Fantasy!
2. Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage
Okay, I’ll admit, I’ve never seen this show at Hollywood Studios, but it’s definitely on my Disney bucket list! I have, however, seen clips of the show and love the way these characters truly come to life on stage, making it a must for B&B diehards.
3. Bonjour! Village Gifts
You’ll want to be a guest at this one! This gift shop in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom sells all your Beauty and the Beast needs! Apparel, dinnerware, knick-knacks, toys, and even the famous stained glass window has been spotted for sale here!
4. Enchanted Rose Lounge
Beauty and the Beast have multiple themed eateries around Walt Disney World, and the latest is the re-theming of the Enchanted Rose Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
This one is definitely more geared toward adults, offering an extensive menu of alcoholic drinks and a swanky atmosphere — less elegant than Be Our Guest, but much more so than Gaston’s Tavern.
5. Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along Film
The Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along film located in the France pavilion at EPCOT is the perfect break from the heat and excuse to whack out those karaoke skills. While I haven’t experienced it yet, singing along to those classic songs is a must on any Disney vacation!
Magical Tip: While in the France pavilion, pop over and meet Belle now that character meet and greets have returned!
6. Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest is probably my favorite restaurant in Walt Disney World because it really makes you feel like you’re in Beauty and the Beast. No matter what meal you’re there for, whether you sit in the West Wing, the Rose Room, or the Ballroom, you’ll really feel like you’re in the movie.
I’ve dined for dinner in the Ballroom and lunch in the Rose Room; both experiences were magical and memorable.
The ballroom is practically a replica of the ballroom in
the animated movie; chandeliers, murals on the ceiling, and even snow falling outside!
The Rose Room is where you’ll find pictures of all your favorite characters and tables and chairs surrounding a large, music box-esque setup of Belle and Beast dancing to your favorite B&B songs.
The final dining area is the West Wing, which I’ve yet to dine in but have explored and is where you’ll find the enchanted rose and Prince Adam’s portrait.
And if you’re lucky, you may even see Beast roaming around his castle!
Magical Tip: Definitely make a reservation, as this restaurant fills up fast. Also, note which dining area you’d prefer to be seated in, and the cast members will certainly do their best to accommodate it.
