The ICONIC Disney Sounds That Make You Smile!

Disney somehow finds a way to appeal to all of our senses.

Take some tips from the pros for your next trip!

Sight? Our eyes sparkle (quite literally) as we watch nighttime shows like Disney Enchantment fireworks. Smell? Pirates of the Caribbean — need we say more? Taste? Easy —Churros, Dole Whips…the list goes on and on. Touch? Hugging a loved one after they conquer their fear of riding a big roller coaster for the first time. And when it comes to hearing, we can think of soooo many sounds around Disney World that make our ears happy. And we wanted to see what Disney sounds you enjoy too!

We asked our readers on Facebook, “What Disney sounds make you smile?” Here’s what they said!

Haunted Mansion

You guys pointed to a ton of sounds from the Haunted Mansion. And the Haunted Mansion is full of iconic sounds and quotes, so we can’t blame you! One reader’s favorite sound was the Haunted Mansion organ you hear while waiting to board the attraction. (Great choice.)

Another commenter’s favorite sound from this attraction was the ghost host saying, “Welcome Foolish Mortals.” (We know you absolutely read that in his voice.) And, one reader said their favorite sound was the cat you can hear in the line.

Carousel of Progress

Oh great….this is going to be stuck in our heads all day. One reader brought up the attraction’s song, “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”

They Have Some NEW Looks

We have to admit…this one makes our ears happy too! And it’s a classic — bring on the nostalgia.

Monorail

We got a couple mentions about the Monorail, which definitely isn’t surprising. The Monorail’s voiceover is so iconic, that there’s actually merchandise inspired by the narration.

Please stand clear of the doors…

Honestly, the line “Please stand clear of the doors” soothes the ears.

Main Street, U.S.A.

OK, we totally love this one too. Picture it — Dapper Dans, excited chatter, and the classic Main Street, U.S.A. tunes!

One reader agreed, and commented, “…the music, the sounds of laughter…the “Oh my goodness!!” from those seeing the castle for the first time.” Yes to all of that!
