Last year, Disney told us that a NEW MagicBand would be coming soon to the parks — MagicBand+.
MagicBand+
This new version of the MagicBand has updated technology and a lot of cool new features, and we just found out WHEN it’s going to launch at Disney World! But, that’s not all of the news, because we also found out about how much it’s going to cost.
The new MagicBand+ will start at $34.99. There will be over 25 designs of the new bands, so we’re assuming that different or more elaborate designs will have different price points. But, we’ll have to wait and see to know for sure!
MagicBand+ designs
Disney World actually already released the new MagicBand+ a few months ago, but it was on accident. They were only on the shelves for a few hours before they were pulled. But, we were able to buy one before they were pulled, and it cost $29.99 for the most basic design.

These new MagicBands can do things like light up, vibrate, sync to fireworks show, and lead you on a bounty hunt throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s also rechargeable!

If you’re planning on buying this new MagicBand+, Disney Resort hotel guests can buy them online at special prices before their arrival. Annual Passholder discounts will also be available for the new bands.

At Disney World, a MagicBand+ will be available at the following locations:
- Magic Kingdom Park: Emporium
- EPCOT: Pin Traders – Camera Center
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Celebrity 5 & 10 and Tatooine Traders
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Discovery Trading Company
- Disney Springs: Disney’s Pin Traders
- Select merchandise locations at Disney Resort hotels
These new MagicBands will also be coming to Disneyland Resort, but not until later this year. We’ll keep you updated on when it will be officially released. And, be on the lookout for the new MagicBand+ SOON in Disney World.
