Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Let’s get going and see what’s happening in the parks today!

As we approached the entrance to Universal Studios Florida, we noticed all the Minions decor has been removed. The inflatable Minion balloons and banner in the arch are gone. Hopefully the next banner added is for HHN!

As Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem was getting ready to open for the morning, the line of guests began to grow quickly. Since it’s the first attraction guests encounter when they enter the park, it often pulls a large crowd.

There are some new construction walls in San Francisco.

If you’re a fan of SpongeBob, there’s an adorable Loungefly backpack and wallet available in KidZone. Take a closer look in our post here.

The crowds aren’t too bad today. It’s been a pretty enjoyable morning so far.

The line for the Hogwarts Express looked long, but it was just slow moving to scan tickets. Once we got upstairs, it was a walk on.

Hogsmeade wasn’t too crowded today, either. It’s also very hot today, which may be another reason for low crowds.

We’ve been spotting a lot of tour groups, and this large pile of backpacks is a good indication of that!

There are short lines for food today. Some locations are also using Mobile Ordering again, so be sure to check the Universal Orlando app. Locations like Pizza Predattoria are usually pretty quick for Mobile Ordering if the line is long.

The sky doesn’t look very good, but it’s hot, so Jurassic Park River Adventure has a long wait today. Florida storms can roll in quickly, so make sure you have a plan and some rain gear just in case!

Jurassic World PEZ dispensers are available in Jurassic Outfitters. They’re $3.95 each and come with a Triceratops, T-Rex, Mosasaurus, and Blue the raptor.

Only a 45 minute wait for Kong! This ride always seems to have a high wait time, especially if it’s raining outside. This is one of the attractions that still operates during a storm.

The water shooting skill game in Toon Lagoon is being refurbished. It’s closed up for now, but there are still plenty of other games to play here and in Jurassic Park.

Construction walls have gone up in Marvel, blocking off the Fruit stand, Chomp Hot Dogs, and the entrance to the Spider-Man meet and greet.

You can still meet Spider-Man inside the gift shop, which is open during the refurbishment.

That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for following us around the parks today and be sure to stay tuned for more updates.
