It’s another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Despite the fact that we found large crowds entering through security this morning, it was surprisingly quiet in the parks.

The crowds at security were very misleading. We prepared for the worst, but it was really quiet once we got inside.

The crowds this morning are great. We love days like this. When Early Park Admission is at Islands of Adventure and not Universal Studios Florida, the parks are always very calm in the morning.

It’s almost impossible to resist grabbing ice cream when Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour has such a short line on such a hot day.

Even though the crowds are really low, there’s still a very long line for Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

No line for E.T. Adventure? You know we’re taking a break to ride. It’s my lucky day, too. E.T. got my name right!

There’s some painting happening around the former Barney Shop in KidZone. We believe this is going to reopen as the Shrek and Donkey meet and greet.

We’re hoping the lines for food stay short all day. It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to just walk into Fast Food Boulevard and grab a Krusty Burger.

This metal sign is now available in the Tribute Store. We’ve been loving all the merchandise this summer.

Time to go to Islands of Adventure.

A 10 minute wait for the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride and low crowds in Seuss Landing? This feels like a dream.

This freshly-painted pathway behind Green Eggs and Ham looks pretty good.

Short food lines over in this park, too. We’re going to savor these moments. With a holiday weekend ahead of us, we’re expecting the worst.

It’s the middle of the day, and there’s only a 10 minute wait for the Hogwarts Express. This is too good to be true.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was still posted at a 90 minute wait, despite the low crowds. If you’re visiting anytime soon, just be aware the best way to navigate the queue is to walk around the chains, not to go over or under them.

After buying a Game Play Pass to get the new Jurassic World plush, we still had a few games left to play. After stopping to quickly play a game, we were shocked to win a giant Indominus Rex. Now I’ve got to carry her around the rest of the day.

Major rush to get on the water rides today. It’s a hot day, so it’s no surprise.

More refurbishments appear to be taking place in Toon Lagoon in front of Comic Strip Cafe.

What a great day to be in the parks!

Thanks for joining us today as we made our way around the Universal Orlando Resort. Stay tuned for more updates, and we’ll see you next time!
