What’s New in Magic Kingdom: Limited-Edition Snacks and 50th Anniversary Collectibles

Are you ready for a trip to Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom!

This Disney World park is quite the party these days, with returned (and new!) entertainment options, 50th Anniversary celebrations, and lots of limited-time snacks. But if you haven’t stopped by in the past week, there’s a lot of news you may have missed — we’re sharing everything that’s new in Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

Gaston’s Tavern

Let’s start things out with some new snacks! First up, we got the Goofy Dome Cake at Gaston’s Tavern a few days ago. This new treat is made with dark chocolate mousse with orange curd and candied orange peel on top of chocolate flourless cake. You can grab it for $8.29, but fair warning — this treat is VERY rich!

Goofy’s Dome Cake

We did really enjoy the variety of flavors, although it wanted to melt pretty quickly. We recommend eating this one indoors because that Florida sun is INTENSE!

Castle Hub Churro Cart

But the dome cake wasn’t the only new sweet treat in Disney World this week — we got a bunch of snacks in Magic Kingdom this week for the summertime, and one of those is the Tropical Serenade Churro. This churro is rolled in pineapple sugar, drizzled with marshmallow cream, and topped with sugar flowers and pineapple chunks.

Tropical Serenade Churro

In our book, it was a BIG winner! It was sugary, fresh, and fruity — all the flavors we were hoping to have. You can order it at the churro stand by Cinderella Castle for $7.25.

Castle Hub Popcorn Cart

Across the castle hub, you’ll find one of Magic Kingdom’s busiest popcorn carts. There, guests can order two new treats — the Pride Cake Pops.

New cake pops!

These colorful treats are $5.25 each and are part of a long list of new snacks for the month of June. (And while you’re there, pick up your Mickey Mouse 50th Anniversary popcorn bucket, because he was in stock!)

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

Due to the peanut butter shortage, we’ve noticed some menu changes in Disney World over the past few days and weeks. One of those menu changes was that peanut butter sauce had been removed from the list of options at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A.

Not our beloved peanut butter sauce!

However, when we stopped by a few days ago, we were informed that the sauce is BACK! It’s not updated on the main menu yet, but you can ask for it currently when you order. (If you want our recommendation — it goes GREAT on chocolate ice cream. 😉)

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

TRON Construction

It wouldn’t be a visit to Magic Kingdom without glancing at the construction progress on the upcoming TRON coaster! Work is still being done outside the ride building, where most of the ground is covered in dirt at this point.

Things are moving along!

We spotted lots of construction equipment and even a new barricade up this week, so it’s possible we could see some updates coming soon. Can’t wait!

Memento Mori

And over at the Haunted Mansion gift shop, Memento Mori, the construction we’d been watching for a few weeks has been completed. At this time, all the walls are down in the shop.

Memento Mori has a new look!

The registers have actually been moved to the area that was formerly used for taking pictures, so things may look a little bit moved around on your next visit.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

The Emporium

Okay, now it’s time to deep dive into the merchandise that we spotted in the past few days. There were a LOT of new items in The Emporium, so buckle up! First of all, we spotted a new Graduation Stitch Plush for $24.99.

He looks so fancy!

Other grad-related items include the new Graduation Mickey Ear Hat with “Class of 2022” written on the back. If you just wrapped up your school year and you’re taking your grad trip to Disney World, this would be a great souvenir! Get it for $29.99.

Congrats to the class of 2022!

We also got several new merchandise items inspired by the latest Pixar film, Turning Red. First, there’s a notebook and stationery set for $22.99

It comes with all the accessories!

…followed by a Mei Red Panda Plush for $22.99

It’s so fluffy!

…and finally, a new figurine set with characters from the movie. This one is $24.99.

It has all the popular characters.

Oddly enough, we spotted some Tower of Terror merchandise in Magic Kingdom this week. Four new Hollywood Tower Hotel pins arrived, each themed to different classic Disney characters. First up,  we’ve got the Mickey Mouse pin that folds for $17.99.

The folding pin.

There’s also a pin inspired by Minnie Mouse that you can purchase for $9.99. She looks like a classic Hollywood queen!

It’s Minnie Mouse!

Or maybe you’re more of a Pluto fan? He’s got one as well for $9.99.

A Pluto pin as well.

And of course, there’s also an elevator design — in this one, Goofy’s the bellhop! (Let’s hope that elevator doesn’t go crashing down!) This pin is $12.99.

The Goofy pin.

Maybe you’re not a pin collector, but you’re interested in shopping for other collectibles? If so, there are lots of new options! More Wishables have joined the lineup in The Emporium, with the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure-inspired group. You can buy the Emile Wishable separately for $14.99

Hey Emile!

or you can pick up the mystery pack for the same price. With this bag, you’ll get a randomized plush out of a group of different designs. A lot of guests find it fun to try and collect them all!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Wishables

Another popular collectible (and still in the realm of plushes) are nuiMOs! These posable toys can be dressed up in outfits to match the apparel that Disney World sells, and now you can buy Marie from The Aristocats for $19.99.

A new nuiMO is here!

Disney mugs are also a very popular item to collect! This week, Magic Kingdom got a new design inspired by Lady & the Tramp. We don’t get to see merchandise from this movie very often, so grab it while you can for $19.99.

It’s a Lady mug!

Speaking of dogs, you can buy accessories for your pets in the parks as well! This new collapsible Mickey Mouse Pet Food Bowl would be a great gift to bring home to your fur baby for $19.99.

Even the dog gets a souvenir!

We also spotted this fun summery Stitch-themed bag in the store for $29.99. It has a bright floral pattern that’s perfect for the spring and summer seasons.

New Stitch Bag

We spotted two new pens, great for those looking to snag some character autographs. First, we’ve got one inspired by a severely underrepresented character — Celia from Monsters, Inc.

We hardly ever see Celia merch!

The other pen is made to look just like Princess Jasmine! You can grab either one of these for $12.99.

She’s even wearing her iconic outfit.

These new Gingham Minnie Ears have arrived across Disney World property just in time for summer — they remind us of a picnic in an open field! You can pick them up for $29.99.

We have a feeling they’ll be a big hit!

And finally, we’ve got a new 50th Anniversary Loungefly Backpack for $80.

We love that pattern!

It has popular ride icons stitched all over the outside — how fun!

Star Traders

But that’s not all the new merchandise — there are several other shops that got new items! If you want a new accessory for your nuiMO, there’s another option for that as well. The incredibly popular Pride Mickey Lougefly Backpack is now available in a teeny tiny version so that you and your plush can match. Get it for $21.99.

It’s an itty bitty backpack!

Star Traders also got a new Disney World Tank Top in this week.

New shirt alert!

You can buy this design for $36.99.

Uptown Jewelers

Back to Main Street, Uptown Jewelers has some new (and very pricey) merchandise! The Citizen Captain American Watch and Pin Set that we spotted is a whopping $450.

WOWZA!

Two new Dress Shop dresses arrived too. The first one is a Main Street Electrical Parade pattern

It looks like the rest of the MSEP anniversary items!

…and the other is a black-and-white polka-dotted Minnie Mouse frock! You can grab either of these for $128.

It’s a classic!

And we can’t forget about what may be one of Disney World’s priciest t-shirts ever — this new design from Coach.

Coach T-shirt

Want to take a guess at how expensive it is? It’s $150, which is wild for a DIsney shirt, but a little more in line with what you might expect from Coach.

Main Street Cinema

Main Street Cinema is currently home to the popular Vault Collection for the 50th Anniversary, and we’ve seen two new items join the collection in the past week. The Vault Collection Bucket Hat is reversible and available for $29.99.

And when they say they’ve got you covered in merchandise from head to toe, they really mean it because the other new item is a pair of socks!

Vault Collection Socks

You can grab these for $14.99.

Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.

Over at the exit of Space Mountain, the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co is a great place to stop and look for tech-based Disney souvenirs. This week, we spotted a new Castle Phone Case here.

What a cool design!

IT’s available for $34.99 and comes in a few different sizes.

General

And last but not least, we’ve got a brand-new balloon on Main Street, U.S.A.! This Mickey Mouse design has an iridescent glow to it and confetti printed on the outside. You can grab one for $15.

A new balloon!

That’s everything that’s new in Magic Kingdom for now, but it’s not all the excitement that’s happening in Disney World in the next few weeks! We’ve got more returning entertainment, restaurant reopenings, and popular transportation options coming back very soon.

If you’re coming to Disney World in the next few months, there are a lot of changes you’ll need to know about, and we’ll make sure you’re covered with the latest!
