Staying in a Disney World hotel means you’re getting so much more than a place to sleep.
You’re getting fun Disney-themed activities (including many you might not even know about), Disney food (which you KNOW we love), Disney theming, Disney shopping, and more! So what’s been going on with Disney World hotels recently? Let’s find out!
Polynesian Village Resort Food Updates
We tried an OUTRAGEOUS snack at Kona Cafe. It’s the Dad’s Favorite Snacks Tart, which is a Chocolate Tart with Coconut Macadamia Topping, Dad’s Favorite Snacks (Potato Chips, Snickers, Popcorn, and M&M’S), Rum Chocolate Caramel Sauce, and a Chocolate-Dipped Bacon piece on top. Yeah, there was a lot going on there.
But regardless of all that stuff on the tart, it was absolutely delicious! It had all the makings of a classic sweet and salty snack. It’s no longer available, but it was $6.29 — maybe they’ll bring it back for Father’s Day next year!
Polynesian Resort Other Updates
Check out this cool PhotoPass 50th Anniversary sign — you can get your photo with it at the Polynesian!
Also, we asked about housekeeping at the resorts. For the suites, housekeeping is now being done every day, while it’s every other day for all other rooms.
Grand Floridian Food Updates
For the moment, both Amor and Envy are off the menu because Disney can’t get the alcohol from the distributor.
The good news is that new menu items will be coming soon!
Grand Floridian Merchandise Updates
There’s a new bath bomb in town, it’s the North Shore Bath Bomb and it’s almost too pretty to use.
This bath bomb is $8.99.
Grand Floridian Other Updates
We attended a media event to celebrate the grand opening of the new Disney Vacation Club Villas and Resort Studios at the Grand Floridian! We checked out the new rooms and everything!
We asked about housekeeping at the Grand Floridian, too. Housekeeping is now being done every day at the hotel.
Contemporary Cafe Food Updates
Contempo Cafe has a special menu item for Pride Month: Chef Gina’s Lemon Grass Chicken Banh Mi.
It’s a Toasted Baguette with Lemon Grass Chicken, Sriracha Aioli, Pickled Carrots, Daikon, Jalapeno, and Cilantro served with Cucumber Ribbons and Edible Flowers for $11.99.
Contemporary Resort Merchandise Updates
There’s a new 50th Anniversary Contemporary Resort Pin available for $12.99.
We also found a Blue Long Sleeve Disney Magic Shirt.
This shirt is $39.99.
There’s a cute new Stitch Backpack here.
The backpack is $29.99.
