Green Eggs and Ham is an iconic snack location in Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. The menu has gotten an update recently, removing the Brisket Philly Tots and replacing them with Carnitas Tots. The Vegan Pizza Tots have also been permanently added to the menu. You can check out our review of the Vegan Tots here and keep reading for our thoughts on the new Carnitas Tots.
Carnitas Tots – $10.99
Roasted pork, jalapeños, tomato salsa, scallions, lime crema, and white cheese over tater tots
We were drooling at first sight. The tots here are always cooked to perfection, and we make a point to mention that every time we review a dish from Green Eggs and Ham.
The base of all of these dishes are tots, so it’s important to note that we’ve never had a disappointing tot from this location. You may have to wait a few minutes for your order, but it’s well worth it.
The sliced jalapeños were raw, but not hot at all. The heat factor of this dish is extremely low, despite the jalapeños all over the top. If you’re looking for intense heat, check out the Nashville Hot Chicken Mac and Cheese at Universal Studios Florida.
The pork carnitas was absolutely fabulous. The juicy, sweet flavor is just perfect with the toppings. It’s difficult to see here, but there’s a white cheese sauce on the bottom of the dish. It’s one of our favorite parts of the dish. The cool tomato salsa and lime crema on top compliment the carnitas perfectly. We highly recommend this dish if you’re visiting Islands of Adventure.

The Carnitas Tots are an excellent new addition to the menu at Green Eggs and Ham. If you enjoy carnitas, but not the fried potatoes, we would suggest checking out the Carnitas Crepe at Central Park Crepes. Now, we must know from you, do you like Green Eggs and Ham, too?
