PHOTOS: The NEW Grand Floridian Rooms Are Now OPEN in Disney World

When it comes to the end of a long park day, it’s important to know just exactly where you’re going to rest your head.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Deluxe-level resort that many guests love for its gorgeous And now, there’s a brand new spot to choose from because the new Disney Vacation Club Villas and Resort Studios at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort are officially open!

Disney began construction on the new Disney Vacation Club rooms at the Grand Floridian back in March 2022, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on the progress ever since. The Big Pine Key building has been transformed into 200 brand-new DVC Resort Studio rooms featuring ultra-luxurious decor.

NEW Resort Studio Room

Disney invited us out to a media preview to check out the new rooms, as well as some refreshed Disney Vacation Club villas at the Grand Floridian. The Resort Studios each come with 2 queen beds and one day bed, meaning that they sleep five adults. They also come with a beverage center with a coffee maker and a beverage cooler.

The bathrooms are just as fancy as the rest of the room, with marble countertops and a combination tub and shower. The room we toured even had double sinks!

Look at that bathroom!

And in addition to the Resort Studios, other DVC Villas at the Grand Floridian got a makeover as well. We also got to tour the Enhanced 2-Bedroom Villa, which was redecorated with a similar theme as the Resort Studio.

These villas come with two separate bedrooms — one with a king-sized bed and one with two queens. There are also two bathrooms and a full kitchen. You can sleep up to 9 guests here!

It’s so exciting to have even more updated rooms available for booking! Just last year, the main guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort were updated with a Moana theme, and the rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort got a makeover inspired by The Incredibles.

Besides those, we’ve got more changes on the way! The Polynesian is getting a new Disney Vacation Club tower added to the property, and a major overhaul is coming to the rooms and lobby at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. We’re excited to see how all of these changes turn out!
