Okay, I’ll admit it– when I first heard about Oga’s Cantina in Hollywood Studios, I immediately decided I wouldn’t check it out. I don’t drink alcohol, and my younger sister (who is my Disney buddy), is a teenager! A year passed, and soon I saw pictures on Instagram of families going to Oga’s Cantina… and I was surprised! Then I went to check it out, and the experience was incredible. It is now my and my sister’s tradition to go every time!

So, how did we enjoy it? If you have kids or don’t like to drink alcohol, then keep reading to find out how you can have an awesome experience at Oga’s!

Try the Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Kids and adults alike will LOVE these drinks! I was worried that they would just be glorified juice boxes, but some of these are really unique drinks! Our favorites are the Carbon Freeze, Blue Bantha, and Cliff Dweller (this one comes in an awesome Porg mug!).

The Carbon Freeze bubbles as you drink it, making it a super fun experience. The Cast members will tell you that the popping pearls in the drink are the eggs from the mysterious green alien in a cage… trust me, your kids will giggle at this one!

Try the Snacks at Oga’s Cantina!

While my sister and I opted not to get the food at Oga’s Cantina last time (we were really full from our drinks!), there are some food options here for those who want the Oga’s experience without having alcohol.

First, if you or your kids like Jell-O, then you should definitely try Oga’s Obsession! It is a Jell-O like substance with cotton candy flavors and blueberry popping pearls.

If you’re looking for something savory, try Batuu Bits or the Happabore Sampler! Batuu Bits include chips with “Chermoula Dip.” The Happabore Sampler is a charcuterie board with meats, cheese, and pork cracklings.

All of these snacks are a great way to get into Oga’s Cantina to explore without having alcohol! Or, for your kids, it’s a great resting area to have a snack.

Go for Breakfast

This is my #1 tip for Oga’s Cantina. Go for breakfast! It doesn’t have to be expensive. My sister and I each had the Blue Bantha with the cookie that it comes with, and I could easily have that for breakfast!

The Blue Bantha is cold, frothy blue milk (which almost tastes like bubblegum to me, but in a good way), and it comes with a thick, surprisingly delicious cookie on top. The cookie has a few layers: shortbread, some sort of “birds nest” candy layer (we couldn’t figure it out, but it was really good), and frosting. The cookie is also massive! It’s an excellent way to start the day at Disney, especially for kids.

Have you ever done Oga’s Cantina without alcohol? I love that Disney made this iconic Star Wars attraction in Galaxy’s Edge available to everyone, even kids. Will you take your kids to Oga’s now that you know it is for everyone?
