Weatherproofing Added to Center Street Amidst Pavement Replacement in Magic Kingdom

Crews have added black sheathing to Center Street at Magic Kingdom, which is under refurbishment.

Construction walls block half of Center Street, which splits off from Main Street, U.S.A. Crews previously removed the bricks and curbs of half the street. They have now laid down weather-proof sheathing.

The Bituthene sheathing covers half of the exposed section of road — so about a quarter of Center Street in total.

Pavement replacement is expected to last for four weeks. Right now, work has been focused on the brick road and not the pink sidewalks.

After construction crews finish work on the back half of the street, the front half will likely be closed.
