‘Special Edition’ Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade Replaces Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom

Mickey and Minnie on Main Street jitney

Today’s noon performance of Disney’s Festival of Fantasy parade was canceled at Magic Kingdom and replaced with a “special edition” of Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. Several characters who usually appear in the cavalcade were absent and replaced by characters who usually appear in the parade.

The cavalcade began with the usual Adventure Friends banner, with Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale walking behind it.

Usually, the cavalcade opens with Pixar characters.

Behind the walking characters was the Main Street, U.S.A. jitney carrying Mickey and Minnie.

Mickey and friends don’t appear in the standard Adventure Friends Cavalcade.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs walked behind the jitney.

More Princesses and Princes that usually only appear in the Festival of Fantasy parade were on the gazebo float.

Tiana, Naveen, Belle, the Beast, Rapunzel, and Flynn were gathered together.

Behind the gazebo were Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook, and Smee.

The first Adventure Friends float held Moana, Merida, and Pocahontas, who always appear in the parade. A penguin from “Mary Poppins” was on the back. Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pinocchio, and Geppetto walked between the floats.

Donald was atop the second Adventure Friends Cavalcade float, taking over Clarabelle’s usual spot. She was on the front of the float instead, along with Horace Horsecollar.

Genie and Baloo were on the back of the float.

This version of the cavalcade may also be performed at 3:00 p.m. instead of Festival of Fantasy. Watch the full cavalcade below:
