REVIEW: EPCOT’s Newest Festival Treat Left Us Confused 🤔

The EPCOT Farmers Feast booth — which was introduced in 2021 — returned for this year’s EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!

Farmer’s Feast

The booth features a seasonal, rotating menu that offers farm-fresh ingredients! We’ve already tried out the Springtime Menu (spoiler alert: we enjoyed it), and now, we got a taste of the NEW Summer Menu!

You can find the Farmers Feast booth between the Creations Shop and Test Track! The Springtime Menu included new offerings, like Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta, and returning offerings, like the Herb-crusted Spring Lamb, so we were excited to see what the Summer Menu would have!

Menu

The Summer Menu features returning items like Tomato Cornbread Panzanella and Barbecue Seared Pork Tenderloin, as well as the NEW A Whole Lotta Melon: Feta Cheesecake.

Summer Solstice Menu

The beverage menu is still the same, so let’s focus on the food!

Food

We’ll start with the Tomato and Cornbread Panzanella, which we tried last year. It comes with burrata cheese and fresh basil for $5.25. We previously really liked this dish because it was SO fresh. We loved the saltiness the olives added to the overall dish and how the tomatoes gave it a vinaigrette-like texture.

We also had a chance to try the Barbecued Seared Pork Tenderloin last year, too. This is served with Summer Succotash, Herbed Butter, and Grapefruit Vinaigrette for $6.50. When we had it, we thought the pork was very tender, nice, and flavorful, thanks to the tasty barbecue sauce.

New this year, though, is the A Whole Lotta Melon: Feta Cheesecake. They’re not kidding when they say a WHOLE LOTTA Melon — The Feta Cheesecake comes with Watermelon Curd, Pickled Watermelon Rind, Watermelon Caramel, and Compressed Watermelon for $4.50.

A Whole Lotta Melon: Feta Cheescake

We’ll start with the cheesecake itself — it was very tasty, but the feta makes it grainier than a typical cheesecake. There’s also no melon in the cheesecake — those flavors come from the cream on top.

To be honest, we just thought this was okay, and there is barely any melon flavor here.

WHOLE lotta’ melon, y’all

If you love a good creamy cheesecake, you’ll probably also want to skip on this, too. It was hard to get past that texture.

Overall

The Summer Menu has some pretty strong returning savory items this year, but we’re still not sure we can recommend the cheesecake because it just wasn’t working for us. There are plenty of amazing desserts in EPCOT, so if you aren’t a huge watermelon fan, there is probably a better treat for you. This new menu will be offered until July 4th — when the 2022 EPCOT Food and Garden Festival ends. So be sure to visit this booth, and the others, before the festival is over! And we’ll continue to keep you updated on new offerings throughout the parks, so stay tuned to DFB!
