REVIEW: Amazing Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl Cookie Returns, PB&J Cake Debuts for May at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs

Each month, Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs has a different limited edition cookie. For May, guests can pick up the amazing peanut butter chocolate swirl cookie. We first reviewed this cookie when it was available during the grand opening of Gideon’s Bakehouse, and it returned last March. We’re very happy to see it back again. Alongside this scrumptious sweet is the new Peanut Butter & Jelly Cake.

This month’s menu features the Daring D’monicos: “Soaring through the air at a dizzying height, The Daring D’Monicos will astound you with their death-defying acts of flight. Identical twins that never agree. One loves nuts. The other is chocolaty. ⁣⁣⁣⁣”

We love peanut butter, so we paired our sweets with the delicious Peanut Butter Cold Brew.

True to its name, this is a layered mashup of Gideon’s chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. The cookie is on the rich side, but it pairs the two classic flavors as well as can be done.

Instead of tasting like a blend of two cookies, it is truly like eating two separate cookies at once. It’s like getting the best of both worlds! Honestly, this is our favorite one to date. Rich chocolate blended with peanut butter, all well accented with salt and chocolate chips. It is a must-try!

Peanut Butter & Jelly Cake Slice – $9

Vanilla cake with layers of peanut butter buttercream and real grape jelly

This tastes exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The cake is light and moist with small hints of vanilla.

The grape jelly ties everything together to create the full effect. We would have loved a little bit more jelly.

The peanut butter buttercream is like a sweeter peanut butter. It pairs perfectly with the cake.

Definitely a must-get if you love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It reminded us of summer camp.

For Halfway to Halloween, Gideon’s Bakehouse debuted trading cards featuring some of the characters they’ve introduced. We got Barnabas Mephistopholittle, the Halfway to Halloween ambassador.
