Fun-Filled Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Fun-Filled Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

This week we take a trip out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Join us as we hang out in the park, ride some rides, and try some new foods!

LUNCH AT RONTO ROASTERS

One of our favorite places to eat in Hollywood Studios, is at Ronto Roasters over in Galaxy’s Edge! For lunch, we ended up getting the classic Ronto Wrap, which is a Grilled Pork Sausage and Roasted Pork in a Pita Wrap, with Peppercorn Sauce and a Tangy Coleslaw. This is one of our favorite things to get at the park, as it is always so good and never disappoints. For our side, we tried the new Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce, which is sticks of Jicama, Cucumber, Pineapple, Melon and Dragon Fruit doused in a Tamarind Sauce and dusted with Peppercorn Ash.  While this isn’t one of our favorite things we’ve tried, the Cucumber and Jicama were very good. If you’re a fan of fruit and other sweet things with Tajin on it, this is a flavor profile more suited for you, not so much for us.

RIDING SOME FAVORITE RIDES!

While it was a busier day at Hollywood Studios, we were still lucky enough to get through 3 of the main attractions at the park! We started our day with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which was posted at a 65 minute wait. Fortunately for us, we were able to make it through the line in about 40 minutes! Later in the day, we decided to purchase Genie+ for $15. We were able to secure Lightning Lane reservations for both Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror, which was a huge success. This is probably the best luck we’ve had using the new Genie+ service, and it made getting onto these rides a whole lot easier!

GLIMMER AND SHIMMER PINEAPPLE MOUSSE

For our final stop of the day, we headed over to the Trolley Car Cafe since we were in the mood for a dessert! We went with the Glimmer and Shimmer Pineapple Mousse, which is a new dessert for the 50th Celebration. This treat features Golden Pineapple Mousse on a Toasted Coconut Crisp, with Caramel Cream and Matcha Sponge Cake. This dessert was very light, refreshing, and delicious. We noticed that the predominant flavor in this was caramel, not pineapple like we were expecting. The Toasted Coconut Crisp on the bottom was probably our favorite part of the entire thing, it was absolutely delicious.

Overall, a fantastic day at Hollywood Studios! Even though it was a busier day, we still had a great time riding some rides and trying some new foods! Thanks for coming along!
