10 Best Disney World Restaurants for Dinner

Let’s talk about the most important meal of the day: DINNER. We know, most people consider breakfast to be the most important meal of the day, but can you eat mozzarella sticks for breakfast?? We don’t think so (well, unless you make them at yourself, then more power to ya)!

Dining at ‘Ohana

There are SOOOO many places that you can eat dinner in Disney World, from the parks to the resorts to Disney Springs, from Table Service to Quick Service. It’s hard to keep up with all of the options available, but luckily, we’ve narrowed down the very BEST places to eat dinner in Disney World! Now, we’re going to focus only on Table Service restaurants on this go around, because dinner is traditionally looked at as more like a sit down meal. Let’s dive in!

Jiko

First up is Jiko — The Cooking Place! This spot is located over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and is only currently open for Dinner. Jiko has SO many unique and flavorful dishes to choose from, like Braised Wild Boar Tenderloin, the Oak Grilled Filet Mignon (one of the best steaks in Disney World!), Bobotie Mac-and-Cheese, Seared Scallops with Nhopi and Groundnuts, and so much more.

JIKO

Jiko is also home a HUGE collection of South African wines for you to try out, as well as some fun cocktails. You can find dishes that are adventurous here, but also familiar, so it should have a little something for everyone. Also, be aware that there is a dress code, as this is a signature restaurant at Disney World. Find out more about what to wear right here.

Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace is one of the newer restaurants in Disney World, located on the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort. It’s open for breakfast and dinner, and while there are characters at breakfast, dinner is NOT a character meal. But, that doesn’t take away at all from this awesome restaurant!

Topolino’s Dinner

Some popular dishes here include the Ricotta, Duck Gnocchi, Rigatoni, French Veal Chop, and the Filet Mignon. The atmosphere is exquisite and you can go out on the terrace to watch the fireworks over at EPCOT! This place is a bit fancy, but totally worth a splurge!

California Grill

Speaking of splurging, the next spot on our list is definitely a pricier option for dinner, but it is SO good. If you’re celebrating something big, or just want to treat yourself, head on over to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This restaurant is on the top floor of the hotel and has some stunning views of Magic Kingdom (including the nighttime fireworks!).

Appetizers from California Grill’s 50th Anniversary prix-fixe menu

Right now, California Grill has a special menu for the 50th anniversary that includes things like the Florida Blue Crab Bisque, Braised Beef Short Rib Wontons, Florida Black Grouper, and a ginormous 35oz Beef Rib-Eye Tomahawk Steak for Two. There is an extensive drink menu as well, so you can sip on some spirits while you take in that awesome view.

‘Ohana

Next door to Disney’s Contemporary Resort is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where you can find the famous ‘Ohana restaurant! If you know anything about us, you know we LOVE ‘Ohana, so of course it had to make our list! The food here is served family style, and you’ll get items like Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits, Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings Tossed In Garlic-Chili Sauce, Woodfire-grilled Teriyaki Beef, Island Shrimp Casserole, and those iconic ‘Ohana Noodles!

‘Ohana Dinner Skillet(s?)

We are BIG ‘Ohana noodles fans around here, but they’re also a really big crowd pleaser! And, because you get so many different kinds of food to choose from, you should be able to find something for everyone in your group to enjoy. And, as a bonus, you can also see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from ‘Ohana!

Homecomin’

Now, let’s head on over to Disney Springs! There are a ton of restaurants in Disney World’s shopping and dining district, but we, of course, have our favorites. We LOVE Homecomin’ by Chef Art Smith for any meal, so it’s a great dinner option! This spot serves up southern classics like Fried Green Tomatoes, a Catfish Sandwich, Art’s Famous Fried Chicken, Shrimp and Grits, and even Chicken and Doughnuts! Oh, and don’t forget the Mac ‘n’ Cheese (we would NEVER!).

Thigh High Chicken Biscuits

For dessert, you gotta try the famous Hummingbird Cake or some Chocolate Pecan Pie. They also have some really fun moonshine cocktails here, flights of whiskey, and a big selection of beers. You will definitely be feeling that southern hospitality at Homecomin’ and you might wanna wear your stretchy pants so you can enjoy everything!

Wine Bar George

If you’re looking for something that’s in a totally different direction in Disney Springs, check out Wine Bar George! This place is a wine bar (duh) but they also have some AMAZING food! Some of our favorites include the Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites, Saganaki on Fire, The Big (charcuterie and cheese) Board, and the Skirt Steak.

Saganaki on Fire

And, of course, there is a huuuuge selection of wine here — but don’t feel intimidated if you don’t think you know a lot about wine. The servers here are super helpful and will assist you to make sure you get what’s best for you. Wine Bar George also has some great outdoor seating up on the second floor, so you can take in the sunset and people watch!

Via Napoli

Alright, it’s time to talk about pizza, friends! The best pizza in Disney World (in our opinion) is over at Via Napoli in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion. This spot serves classic Neapolitan pies that they bake in their massive wood ovens (which are named Vesuvio, Etna, and Stromboli after three active volcanoes in Italy!).

A GIANT pizza!

The atmosphere is great in here, and we definitely recommend getting a pie or two to split between your group. They have both individual and large sizes. Some of the most popular pizzas here are the Quattro Formaggi (four cheese) and the Prosciutto e Melone (prosciutto and cantaloupe, which sounds weird, but is amazing!). It’s also almost in the middle of the World Showcase, so it’s perfect for you to take a break from walking (and/or drinking) around the world and grab some grub.

Skipper Canteen

When thinking about the best places to eat dinner in Magic Kingdom, our mind went straight to Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen over in Adventureland. It is by far one of the best restaurants in the park and a perfect spot for dinner! You can try things like the Curried Vegetable Crew Stew, “Hardy Har Char” Siu Pork, or the “Tastes Like Chicken” Because it is!

Skipper Canteen

And, don’t forget to ask about the secret menu, which in the past has brought us delicious foods like the Pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread!). This spot has some food for more adventurous eaters, and awesome theming. It’s themed after the Jungle Cruise and your waiters are Skippers, so get ready for that signature witty humor during your meal!

The Hollywood Brown Derby

Over in Hollywood Studios is The Hollywood Brown Derby. This place is themed after the actual Brown Derby in California and includes classics like Shrimp Cocktail, their Famous Cobb Salad, Braised Short Rib, and iconic Grapefruit Cake. The Hollywood Brown Derby has both a restaurant and a lounge, and they’re both unique in their own ways!

The Famous Cobb Salad

We would suggest making a reservation for the restaurant, but the lounge actually only offers first come, first serve availability and has a smaller version of the menu. However, the lounge is a GREAT option for dinner if you want to get some small plates to share with your group! It’s outside on the patio and you can still get food like the Famous Cobb Salad and the Shrimp Cocktail, and you can also have fun things like a Margarita Flight or a Martini Flight!

Yak and Yeti Restaurant

Yak and Yeti Restaurant is over in Animal Kingdom’s Asia and has a menu filled with Asian fusion items that combine Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Indian flavors. Some of our favorites include the Firecracker Shrimp, Chicken Tikki Masala, Bhaktapur Duck, and Fried Dessert Wontons.

Yak and Yeti

Yak and Yeti is filled with gorgeous artifacts from around Asia, so the decor and atmosphere in this restaurant is outstanding. There are some adventurous food items here as well as some that pickier eaters should enjoy. And, it’s a great spot to cool off with a nice Yak Attack cocktail after a hot day in the park!
