Work Continues on Journey of Water Inspired by ‘Moana’ Structures at EPCOT

There are a lot of construction projects ongoing at EPCOT, but let’s check in on Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana” in the park’s World Nature neighborhood.

Many crew members were working amidst the cluster of concrete structures this morning.

There is one square-shaped structure with a metal frame jutting out of it and a short black wall in front of it. There is a rectangular concrete wall and another taller, thinner concrete wall.

Orange safety netting outlines where trenches and pits have been dug in the area.

In front of the longer wall are now five wood boxes set up in a star shape.

A larger structure is being built nearby.

The concrete foundation was completed earlier this month and now walls are being constructed.

The initial walls are made out of rebar and wood.

A large trench is in the ground next to this structure.

There is then a corrugated wall and another concrete structure, this one mostly in the ground.

Wooden railings are around one edge of this structure.

A smaller structure in the background has been painted white and black.
