The past few years have been challenging for Disney Parks.

Even now, nearly two years after Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, the company is still facing many issues, particularly when it comes to the supply chain. In the past, we’ve seen a shortage of everything from POG juice to noodles to items for special events, but now those issues are also affecting another part of your Disney World trip — MagicBands.

If you’ve booked a Disney World vacation package recently and tried to order a discounted MagicBand, you may have noticed that the pickings are slim. Right now, guests will see the following message explaining why:

“Due to ongoing, industry-wide supply chain challenges, MagicBands may have limited availability or be unavailable in some styles. Our teams are working to improve our selection over the coming weeks and recommend Guests continue to check back to see if their preferred style is available.”

Disney World is now encouraging guests to use the My Disney Experience app with the digital room key feature to access their hotel rooms. Guests also have access to the MagicMobile service through the app where they can link their park tickets, credit card for charging food and merchandise purchases, PhotoPass images, and more.

Disney did add that it’s working with its team to improve the MagicBand selection and urges guests to check back often for updates. So if you’re having problems finding a discounted MagicBand for your trip, you are not alone.
