REVIEW: A New Disney World Popcorn Flavor Was…Not What We Expected

Do you love Orange Bird?

Orange you glad you spotted this guy today?

Orange Bird is an icon AND a symbol, that happy little bird we see all over Disney World. He’s got his own Sipper, Spirit Jersey, and even a Spaceship Earth Ornament. But now, Orange Bird has landed on something unexpected…popcorn.

You can now grab a bag of Florida Orange Popcorn at EPCOT, and yes, Orange Bird is right there on the label. But…Orange Popcorn, folks — you can’t make that up.

Orange…Popcorn?

So what does orange popcorn taste like? We were skeptical, because who’s ever tried to drink orange juice after eating popcorn? That is NOT a flavor combo that works well, folks. But a Cast Member said it tasted more like a fruity cereal, so we decided to dig in… .

What DOES this taste like?

So we took a bite, and…it really did taste EXACTLY like Fruity Pebbles cereal! The flavor was more like a fruity flavor, with just a hint of a citrus aftertaste. It was actually pretty good! It’s obviously a MUST for Orange Bird fans.

It was… good?

Our only complaint is that we wish this was packaged in the newer popcorn packaging that lets you seal the bag so you can easily save some for later. But Florida Orange Popcorn is a fun snack that both kids and adults can appreciate, so if you’d like to try it out, head on over to Port of Entry and buy a bag for $6.49.

We’ll continue to look for and try new snacks at Disney World, so stay tuned for more reviews!
