Characters Hugging Again, Mardi Gras Merchandise Goes On Sale, Low Crowds, Media Center Looking for Participants, and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 3/31/22

Welcome to another amazing day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a little overcast, but hopefully that will keep the crowds away.

We’re off to a good start. It looks like it’s going to be a slow day.

It’s warm and breezy with no rain – perfect for a visit to the parks. Let’s see what’s happening at Universal Studios Florida.

We’ve been having a lot of crowds lately for Spring Break, but today is great. It’s really quiet around here.

The Media Center was looking for participants today. Team Members are usually scouting for guests that meet certain requirements to watch previews of new shows and leave feedback. It takes around an hour, but you’ll be given a $30 Universal gift card for participating.

Characters are now hugging and high fiving guests. We aren’t the only ones excited!

Select face coverings are on sale. We spotted these Chocolate Frog masks for $4.99 in Diagon Alley.

Shout out to all the amazing Team Members who help keep the parks so clean for us!

Only a 20 minute wait for Transformers: The Ride – 3D.

It’s our lucky day. The Hogwarts Express only had a 15 minute wait this afternoon.

Mardi Gras is still happening for another 3 weeks, but merchandise has started to go on sale. Grab that discounted Mardi Gras merchandise before it’s gone!

The Hogsmeade Station had a 65 minute wait when we got to Islands of Adventure. It feels much busier at this park.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure had a 70 minute wait.

Even though it seems busier here, the crowds aren’t bad at all. This open area looks really nice like this.

Have you ever looked up and noticed the owls? There’s some pretty realistic details up in the rafters. Keep an eye on the owls, too, and you might just see them moving.

This Jurassic Park pop up book is absolutely beautiful. We keep spotting it on display around the park with different pages open and it looks great. We’re going to be adding it to our collection!

We are kind of obsessed with the cute pink flower over the VelociCoaster sign. Surprisingly, the attraction had a 70 minute wait.

It’s so good to see guests enjoying the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. The Team Members in here are absolutely amazing. We would love to see this area get a little bit of updating sometime in the future.

Looks like it’s getting a lot busier this afternoon. A 70 minute wait for Skull Island: Reign of Kong is not a good sign.

Toon Lagoon continues to get more minor refurbishments around the area.

It’s great to see characters having fun interactions with guests again.

That’s all for today. Thanks for following us around the parks this afternoon. We’ll be back again soon, so make sure you stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
