In a new video, Walt Disney Imagineers discuss the creation of D3-O9, an artificially intelligent logistics droid that appears on screens on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Guests can have conversations with D3-O9, learning from her and helping her grow. The A.I. is still in playtest mode and may not appear on every voyage but also acts as a test of technology that could appear at Disney Parks in the future.

The video below includes footage of guests talking to D3-O9 and a conversation between John Snoddy, Executive of R&D–Technology & Engineering, Leslie Evans, Executive R&D Imagineer, and Doug Fidaleo, Director, Disney Research Lab.
