REVIEW: There’s Baileys-Infused Chocolate Cake In Disney World. ‘Nuff Said.

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and Disney World is pulling all of the stops in terms of snacks!

St. Paddy’s Day Treats at the Boardwalk!

We’ve already tried 5 (!!) different GREEN snacks at the BoardWalk Bakery, and all the traditional dishes they had to offer (and an AWESOME cocktail) at this EPIC Disney Springs celebration! And, in our hunt to find the BEST St. Patrick’s Day treat in Disney World, our next stop was Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.

A new Irish Bundt Cake has made its way onto the menu at the Artist’s Palette (the resort’s Quick Service location) in Saratoga Springs for a limited time! It is a Guinness Cake with Baileys Mousse and Whiskey Caramel garnished with Vanilla Buttercream, Gold Crisp Pearls, and a White Chocolate Shamrock. Now, keep in mind that this dessert is made with actual Guinness, so it does contain some traces of alcohol.

Irish Bundt Cake!

At first glance, this treat looks EXACTLY like Disney told us it would and it doesn’t just have the looks — it’s also SUPER delicious! Like, worthy of making every dream we might ever have of chocolate and Guinness ever again delicious.

The cake itself had the perfect moist texture that you want in a bundt cake but the chocolate flavor wasn’t overpowering. We could definitely taste the Baileys in it, but it was balanced nicely with the other flavors. And, the icing was simple, which we appreciated — it helped us enjoy the other more complex parts of the cake!

The whiskey caramel was VERY rich and sweet. And, while on its own it might have been too sweet, when it was paired with the mousse and the cake, it was perfect.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

We really enjoyed this cake and our only real complaint is that there wasn’t MORE of it — it’s pretty small for the $4.79 price tag. But, if you’re a big fan of caramel, chocolate, and Baileys separately, then this one is certainly worth going out of your way to get!

We’ll have to see if there’s another St. Patrick’s Day treat in Disney World to compete with this one after how much we enjoyed it — stay tuned to DFB for more!
