Disney World’s NEW Green Treat Will Have You Saying ‘Shamrock Shake, Who?’

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, so Disney World treats are looking a little green lately.

Whether you want to celebrate with the Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival at Raglan Road, or Irish Pork Bangers Poutine, or with some special Irish dishes at City Works, Disney World is giving you some big St. Patrick’s Day options. And if you’re a milkshake person looking to spice it up with some Baileys, this Disney World location just came up with a St. Patrick’s Day drink that could give McDonald’s Shamrock Shake a run for the money!

Today we visited The Drop Off Pool Bar at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort hotel, where you can typically grab some cocktails and drinks near The Big Blue Pool. Chill out and relax next to the pool with an adult beverage, or grab a refreshing drink on a hot day.

The Drop Off

Today we spotted a NEW drink on the menu! The Good Luck Charm is made with Svedka Vodka and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, blended with vanilla ice cream, and topped with fresh whipped cream and cookie ears for $14.

The Drop Off Menu

The rim of this milkshake has a white chocolate shell with green and white sprinkles, and the drink itself tastes like a vanilla milkshake with Baileys, which gives it a rich, almost coffee creamer-like flavor. It was really refreshing and if you’re looking for an adult milkshake, this is it.

The whipped cream is super fresh and creamy, and if we could we’d definitely take this whipped cream home to eat every day. It’s dyed green, but that doesn’t affect the flavor. The cookie ears are little vanilla wafers dipped in white chocolate with green sprinkles on top, and they ended up being a little soggy from sitting in the milkshake, but they were still nice and buttery with a hint of vanilla.

A closer look

If you don’t like vanilla or Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, you probably wouldn’t enjoy this, but we thought this milkshake had a subtle alcoholic flavor and it’s really fun! Drinking a green milkshake kind of reminded us of childhood — minus the Baileys, of course.

So festive!

We aren’t sure how long this snack will be available at The Drop Off Pool Bar, so you might want to head over there sooner rather than later to try The Good Luck Charm! Keep reading DFB for more food and snack reviews!
