Have you ever ridden Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? If so, you’ll probably know what we’re talking about.

If you’ve visited Pandora in Animal Kingdom or seen the movie Avatar, you might already know what a Banshee is. Basically, it’s a dragon-like creature that Avatar characters ride, and you get a chance to ride one yourself on the ride Flight of Passage. You can also “adopt” (aka purchase) your very own Banshee toy — and we have a bit of an update!

Today we stopped by Windtraders gift shop in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora to check out what’s new. You can find lots of interesting Avatar-themed merchandise here!

We visited The Rookery to check out the Banshee selection, where you can find interactive Banshee toys that you can perch on your shoulder (with a magnet) and control their sounds and movements. Also, they’re super cute.

We chatted with a Cast Member who told us that there are only 5 colors of Banshees available right now, and that’s actually more than they’ve had recently! Supply chain issues have been affecting Disney World in a variety of ways, but it looks like the Banshee color shortage might improve soon.

The Rookery Cast Member said that more Banshee colors are slowly starting to come in, so they’re hoping to have more of a variety like they had pre-pandemic within the next few weeks. We’ve seen some really interesting Banshee designs in the past, so hopefully we’ll be seeing more soon!
