REVIEW: This EPCOT Festival of the Arts Booth Has Been Reliable Year After Year

It’s that time of year again: as the holidays fade into the background, it’s time to fully embrace our inner artist at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! This fun festival is full of tasty food and amazing performances — we’re taking a look at EVERYTHING you can enjoy at EPCOT’s artsy fest on its first official day!

Festival of the Arts

We’ve already tried loads of dishes at places like The Donut Box and The Painted Panda! Now, we’re heading over to a booth known for delicious savory bites and a great drink selection!

Menu

The Artist’s Table is a returning booth that features a few savory dishes that complement a wider drink selection that includes a killer sipping chocolate flight. In the past, we’ve been very impressed with this booth’s offerings (seriously, some of these dishes have been Best of the Fest before!).

2022 The Artist’s Table

The booth’s menu is similar to last year’s menu, with one exception being the Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate-Chip Cookie, which you can now find this year at Refreshment Port.

Food

The Beef Wellington, which features Mushroom Duxelle, Prosciutto, and Puff Pastry with Red Wine Demi-Glace and Baby Vegetables, is one of the booths most popular dishes and a frequent favorite of ours. You can get this iconic dish for $8.50.

The beef itself is cooked perfectly and the crust surrounding it has a great flavor and adds a lovely crunch. As if it couldn’t get any better, the Mushroom Duxelle and the Red Wine Demi-Glace accompany the dish really well.

The other savory offering at this booth is the fan-favorite Pan-Seared Scallops with Vanilla-Butternut Squash Purée, Brown Butter Cauliflower Purée, and Lime Foam! This one is the “orange” dish from the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine and it costs $7.

The presentation of this dish is a little different for 2022! In years past the Scallops were served with Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, and Parmesan Crisp.

Here’s what the Pan-Seared Scallops looked like in 2021.

As you can see, they totally reimagined the Scallop dish for 2022! This year’s Scallops definitely lean more into those warm, savory flavors and less into the brighter, hotter flavors! And the presentation of this dish went in an entirely new direction as well which is so fun! The scallops tasted…well, like scallops (no surprises here!) but they were tasty! The REAL winner of this dish, however, was the Vanilla-Butternut Squash Purée. Delicious!

The Pistachio Cake with Cherry Mousse and Morello Cherries is this year’s dessert at The Artist’s Table. It was seen last year at Painters Palate, but this year this dessert housed in the American Adventure Pavilion for $4.75. There are a LOT of complex elements going on in this dish.

While the pistachio cake itself is very light and doesn’t have a very strong flavor, that’s easily balanced with the tartness of the cherry mousse (those red triangles on the plate!). Cherry fans and pistachio fans alike will love this dessert!

For drinks, you can sip on a tasty Sipping Chocolate Flight, which comes with white, milk, and dark chocolate for $8.50. To take your Sipping Chocolate Flight to the next level, try their Symphony in Chocolate Flight with pairs the Sipping Chocolates with Cream liqueurs for $13.00.

If you want to pair a glass of wine with your food from The Artist’s Table, you can try the Lange Estate Winery Pinot Noir for $7. Or, if you prefer beer, there are a few options: the Lexington Brewing Company Mammoth White Ale, the Counterpoint Brewing Company Analoger Amber Ale, and the MIA Beer Company Yacht Rock Brown Ale. Each of these beers is available as a 6oz. pour for $5, or a 12 oz. pour for $9. You can also order a Beer Flight for $10.

Overall

The Artist’s Table is usually a solid bet when it comes to tasty dishes, and this year didn’t disappoint! As much as we LOVE seeing brand new dishes, we can’t complain when a fan favorite returns and consistently delivers year after year! Even mixing up the presentation of the Scallop dish was a pleasant surprise for this year! All in all, you’ll want to make sure you add The Artist’s Table to your list of must-try booths (just be careful! The line was super long when we visited, so plan accordingly!).
