*NEW* Pâté de Campagne: Country Pork Pâté with Pistachios, Truffles, Toasted Ciabatta, Red Onion Marmalade, Pickled Mustard Seed and Caper Berries – $6.75

A large and enjoyable dish. A pate is served cold, so this is essentially a chilled pork meatloaf. The crunchy bread beneath, sweet onions, and other accompaniments all pair nicely.

*NEW* Cast Iron-Roasted P.E.I. Mussels with Sautéed Tomatoes, Garlic and Fresh Herbs – $7.50

These were very undercooked so many weren’t open. The ones that were are very nice, not very fishy taste and soaked in the tomato flavor. The garlic toast is very crispy and had a nice garlic taste.

*NEW* Cast Iron-Seared Steelhead Trout with Parsley Salad, Grape Tomatoes, Kalamata Olives, Capers and Lemon Aioli – $6.75

A fine piece of fish for a festival, but it’s pretty forgettable. It’s buried under a number of cold accompaniments that don’t pair well, but are fresh and enjoyable on their own.

*NEW* North Coast Brewing Co. Blue Star Wheat Beer, Fort Bragg, CA (4.5% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.

From North Coast Brewing Co.: “Choice American barley and wheat malts are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American Craft Beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile.”

*NEW* The Hess Collection Napa Chardonnay, Napa Valley, CA ($25/bottle) – $6.00

From The Hess Collection‘s Director of Winemaking, Dave Guffy: “Our estate Chardonnay offers elegant aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle, which harmonize with delicious flavors of melon and stone fruits all enveloped in a beautiful finish of baking spice and toasted oak.”

*NEW* Daou Family Estates Discovery Rosé, Paso Robles, CA ($24/bottle) – $6.00

From Daou Family Estates: “This wine is remarkably fragrant, offering generous aromas of fresh peach, Bartlett pear, and nectarine, with subtle notes of hyacinth, apricot, and crushed rose petals. The palate is delightfully silky, underlying a clean, fresh crispness delivering enticing flavors of mango, Crenshaw melon, lemon chiffon, and tangerine. Secondary layers reveal hints of sweet cherry and vanilla with orange peel accents. A luxurious and lasting finish leaves traces of apple pie, strawberry, and kiwi.”

*NEW* Juggernaut Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon, California ($20/bottle) – $6.00

According to Juggernaut, their Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon has an aroma of “anise, black fruit, and cassis,” with a “dense and velvety” taste, with flavors of “vanilla and ripe black currants.”
