REVIEW: Proof That Healthy Food Doesn’t Have To Be Boring at Disneyland

Happy New Year from Disneyland! We’re done enjoying the holidays at the resort (even if many of the decorations are still up) and are ready to embrace 2022!

Pacific Wharf Cafe

While we’re embracing the New Year, we’re trying out a few new foods, too, like a peanut buttery cookie pie, a tamale hot dog, and more! And today, we decided to eat something a little healthier — and believe it or not, we’re glad we did!

Okay, are you sitting down? Because — wait for it — we ate a salad at Disneyland. A SALAD! Yep, you heard us right. It was an Asian Chicken Salad made with Red and Green Cabbage, tossed in Miso Dressing with Mandarin Oranges, Edamame, Broccoli, and Cucumbers served with Chicken and Sliced Sourdough. A SALAD.

We ate SALAD?

One thing we immediately noticed is how fresh all the ingredients were — that can make or break a salad, right? And we loved the hint of teriyaki flavor on the chicken. Sourdough bread was an interesting choice to pair with this, but you know what? We actually liked it.

It was…yummy!

If we had any real complaint is that we wanted more protein — more chicken, please? But that’s the only fault we found with this salad. We feel so HEALTHY now — like we’re going to go run around Pixar Pier a few times because we’re PUMPED (okay, we’re joking…).

All kinds of good things in here.

Overall, this is a solid choice, and it’s also an economical one — it’s only $11.49 for a filling meal. You can find it at Pacific Wharf Cafe if you feel like having a salad at Disneyland instead of…say…a corn dog (actually, we can ALWAYS go for a corn dog, too).

We’ll be trying any other new foods we find at Disneyland, so be sure to check back soon for more reviews!
