PHOTOS: What It’s Like to Ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure BEFORE EPCOT Officially Opens

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened up at EPCOT on October 1st, 2021, and it has been a hit with guests since then.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

For a few months, the ride relied on a virtual queue system with boarding groups, the same system that was previously used on Rise of the Resistance. Disney stopped using the virtual queue for the ride this week, and in addition to that, the ride is available during Early Theme Park Entry for resort guests. We stopped by today to test it out ourselves!

Early Theme Park Entry allows Disney Resort guests to enter any theme park 30 minutes before opening time, any day of the week. This morning, EPCOT opened at 10AM, and so we could get inside at 9:30AM. When we arrived, there was already a line of guests waiting to get inside.

It took a moment to get inside.

As hotel guests, we were directed to the right side, heading toward The Seas with Nemo and Friends. As we passed Spaceship Earth, we could see the off-property guests already lining up behind the rope. (Hence, the term “rope drop.”)

This is where Disney holds the other guests.

We followed the crowd back through the park once we were let inside, and the further back we got into World Showcase, the more it started to thin.

It was VERY crowded at first!

We weren’t up close to the front, so if you want to be the first in line for rides, you’ll need to arrive earlier (probably be AT the gate 45-60 minutes before park opening). Many guests, like us, were headed straight for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Not quite as bad back here.

When we arrived at the France pavilion, the line was already stretching back out of the new expansion area. We started our timer to see how long it takes to reach the front of the line.

Looks like we’ll be waiting a minute.

We weaved through the back of the pavilion and into the queue…

There are a lot of zigzags.

…then zigzagged a bit! There were some eager guests hoping to get on this ride today.

Slowly getting there!

And finally, we made it on the ride after waiting 29 minutes! We got in line around 9:40AM and made it on around 10:10AM. So while this would be a good use of your time (get in that line before it gets long!), keep in mind that it will likely be the only thing you get to do during Early Theme Park Entry. That is, unless you arrive extra early to make sure you’re at the front of the pack.

Crowds after we got off the ride.

That was our experience this morning, and we hope that it was helpful to those of you visiting soon! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest news and updates from Disney World.
